This is a dumb question but what exactly are neural settings? What happens if I turn them off? When the popping happens I end up resetting my display and restarting the car for about 15 minutes over and over until it stops.
Whatever compound they used on mine last time worked. They applied it and taped that cover all the way across with masking tape for 24 hours and it has stayed ever since!
I was at my dads an had a lady in a black accord coupe pull into our driveway just to tell me how nice my car is, ask what it is and compliment my (illegal) tint. Lol it made me feel awesome
I'm waiting to go back for the second time, as I'm hearing it again. It doesn't happen often but it's always at the most inconvenient times and I get very frustrated. I haven't taken it in yet because of the waste of time and effort, but hopefully when I go this time around it'll be fixed...
OK guys, got my new display installed a week ago today. Heart the loud popping sound again during my lunch break when I started my car. Awesome. I don't think anyone at the dealership here knows what they're doing.
Well they tried replacing the adhesive and velcrow pieces, and then the whole piece with velcrow and it still fell down right away so finally they tried the compound and it's worked so far. Chances are, they'll try those with yours first and it'll fall before you even leave so be prepared lol...
My dealership told me they used a strong compound, and then held the piece up with masking tape for 24 hours while it dried. They said heat in the vehicle is why this is happening.
Yes, if it happened mid driving it could probably cause a wreck. Thankfully, if it does happen it's upon start up so I can at least turn off the audio system and get to my destination. They said it was a frequency issue and since replacing my whole display I haven't experienced the popping...
I purchased my ex-t coupe two weeks ago and over the course of the two weeks, about 7 different times I have experiences this LOUD, full volume, popping sound upon start up. No audio will play out of the speakers, just constant popping at what sounds like max volume. After researching forums...
I'll be getting the new display installed tomorrow, and over days and weeks we will see if the same problem happens again. At first they told me an update was available, but that was the diagnosis I received.
I have been rebooting my touch screen display and restarting the car, and finally caved and took my car into service at the dealership. It's happened at least 7 times since I bought it 2 weeks ago. They told me my display was going out and they ordered the new part, will have it replaced...
Weather tech I believe, is the only brand of rain guards I would ever buy for my cars. They aren't available for the 16 civic yet. :( I'm on the email list for when they are though. They do have the moonroof rain guard available for about $100 though.
