i would never buy a "new" car with 51 miles on it,
somebody has driven it, its not new anymore
i inspected my odometer before i signed to buy my car,
i told the salesman im not buying a car with more then 10 kilometers on it
mine had 8
there is no praying or hope required,
all that's needed is time, and it ain't on your side,
i know your type, you abuse your vehicle every day, you play around with aftermarket parts that you know nothing about, saying everything is fine, no harm done,
then one day your engine or tranny blows...
i am looking forward to your future thread titled "my CVT blew up"
just make sure when it happens that you don't go bad mouthing honda and the reliability of the CVT for your own stupidity.....it was your OWN FAULT!!!
on unplowed roads any tire is going to slip, and do what you are describing,
however, winter tires will slip much less than the all season tires,
get a set of winter tires and rims, i did this year, for the first time in my life,
much better grip
no,
having your engine run cooler then normal operating temperature is NOT a good thing, i am not sure where this myth comes from, or why so many people seem to believe it,
outside temps are not relevant if your cooling system is operating properly,
where i live temps vary drastically from...
i just don't like when people bitch and complain about problems they are having, when those problems were the direct results of their own actions
if your running a tune, you have given up the right to complain about future engine/tranny/drivetrain issues
it depends how long you plan on keeping the car,
the 2.0L is a proven work horse, it will outlast the 1.5L by a long shot, no question about that
if your looking to keep the car long term, then you want a 2.0L
that is the reason i bought a 2.0L, because i plan on having this car its entire...
he is still creating his own problems though,
my original remark.....
i don't know why, or understand why, people go out of thier way to create their own problems
would this problem be happening if his car was stock??.......NO
i have,
and i am not bashing anything,
i am stating simple facts,
you are far more likely to have CVT problems with a tune, as opposed to without,
that is not my opinion, its fact
if the CVT could safely handle more power, then honda would have done it themselves,
tuners are not any...
that is just a marketing ploy to sell more oil,
i wouldn't believe any of that nonsense,
a certain type of oil is not going to cure an oil dilution problem,
its not the oil that is causing the problem in the first place,
the lesson to me is, don't use a tune, seems pretty simple,
i don't know why, or understand why, people go out of thier way to create their own problems
i would highly suggest you bring your car to a shop to have this done, you dont sound like you know enough to handle this, its not worth risking having to purchase a new CVT
your drain plug is on the SIDE of the CVT at the bottom,
your check plug is on the FRONT of the CVT higher up,
your...
