Today took the Evora out with the wife, we hit Angeles Crest hwy. Evora 400 is a monster, built with these types of roads in mind. Coming behind me is a red Tesla. I know they are fast, but I'm thinking I'll teach this guy a little lesson. I slam it into 2nd and I'm hard throttle with a smile...
Yeah, still have the Evora, its been in the shop a lot  for all kinds of shit like electrical, HVAC, leaks and a bunch of other annoying issues. Might sell at some point with the batshit market the way it is. No EV's in my immediate future, I like manuals and the sound of engines. Who...
Good catch LMFAO . Looking through some posts of both profiles, same writing style. Cousins a homicide detective, 10 years on the job once told me the culprate always returns to the scene. He said compulsion they just can't help themselves
Congrats on the pickup. I had a 2017 that was stolen last year. Recently picked up a salvaged 2019 to restore but couldn't find the time and ended parted it out. They were only asking $19,000 for a 2020? R U sure there is nothing else wrong that maybe they are hiding? Earlier in the year (or was...
I haven't updated in awhile, here's the latest. Last month I was able to pull everything apart, and the bad news: a lot of frame damage in the passenger rear. It's fixable, but family and work obligations made continuing impossible. Ended up parting it out, actually made a profit. It was like...
Don't know yet, thinking this could extend to the engine. Might start with bolt-ons, bigger turbo, maybe even build the motor. Let's see where this takes me
Here is the plan: I have to get it from San Diego to my friends garage in Reseda, BKA the valley. Pretty long haul from San Diego. Next would be to do an accessment of the damage and start putting together a plan. Aftermarket parts or OEM? Once that is decided I will start ordering parts. There...
I'm back guys. Bought a salvaged titled 2019 Civic Si Coupe for $8K. Has 43K on the odometer, engine, trans are in very good condition. As far as I can tell, it's fully stock. It has pretty bad rear damage, but a buddy of mine owns a body shop looked it over and it's repairable, he estimates $6...
OK, now this is my field of expertise-BMW. I've owned several BMW's throughout the 90's and mid 2000's, worked on their engines, so I can speak very clearly on these cars. Most M series high performance BMW's suffer from valve stem seal leaks, excessive heat and the use of plastic radiators and...
Yeah, your getting all your torque at 1900 rpm, I start hitting my power band after about 4000 rpm. So TSP or Ktuner has a tune for the 10th gen Accord? How much more hp/torque does it give you?
Hey, great buy, congratulations. I own the V6 version, an Accord Sport with a 6 speed. It's interesting that HP/Ft lbs torque are almost reversed on our Accords!
Yeah, I looked at a few and they all had CVT. I really did get lucky here finding one in a manual. I'm sure your daughter will love one, it's as comfortable as my Accord. It also has a lot of safety features that will give you peace of mind.
UC Irvine huh? Sounds expensive
Saw a few other races, the GR takes the Type R every time from a dig. In quarter mile the Yaris GR is around 12.9 seconds while the Type R is 14.1. It's how the R puts down it's power to not create excessive torque steer. The Type R excels in the rolling races due to it's 50 more hp. I've had...
Agree, not all Manuals are equal. Other then a few rentals, the only auto trans I've owned is my wife's GX460 so when I do drive an auto I find myself reaching for a clutch and shifter. M2...you got me drooling bro
You made the right choice because if you were looking for any type of performance driving, the Corolla is not the one. If you were looking for getting from A to B comfortably and economically, the Corolla is the choice. Although the Corolla GR Hatch will probably be a game changer at 257 hp when...
This is my 2nd Toyota product, 3rd technically if you count the Lotus Evora, which has a supercharged 400 hp Camry engine! My wife drives a Lexus GX460 which has been reliable as hell. As this is purely a commuter car, speed really wasn't one of those items I factored in :)
I looked far and...
OK, I see. The problem with car reviewers is they drive so many different cars that they end up comparing them in their mind. If you just got out of 600 hp BMW M5 that does 0-60 in under 3 seconds then get into a Corolla, it's going to definitely feel sluggish. As a pure commuter that saves you...
