The highest I've seen in the two tanks of gas I've gone through is 27.5 MPG. I expected a lot better but I guess city driving is what it is. The car still has not been driven over 3500 RPM.
Morimoto uses 5500 which is slightly warmer than 6500 which seems to be the norm. There bulbs are expensive though compared to others. I just put in the 2stroke 3.0 and I like them but I have no point of reference except the stock bulbs. I just went off of the existing reviews but it's a...
There is no way to see the ECU number on the NA 2.0 without removing some stuff. Is there any way to tell ECU compatibility by build date or VIN? I can get my phone down there but it won't focus at 1 inch.
Edit
Finally got my phone camera at an angle where the zoom could pick up the number...
I'm on my 2nd tank of gas and have only been averaging about 26.5 MPG. Just not enough long distance driving to stretch out the MPG. I still haven't taken the car over 3500 RPM so it's not like I'm driving it like I stole it off the lot ?
Brake Hold and Hill assist are the exact same system on a MT car. Brake Hold is deactivated by throttle and Hill Assist is deactivated by time (a few seconds). In the case of Honda's Brake Hold if it is not deactivated by throttle it will activate the parking brake after 10 minutes.
Both...
A simpler way than that video but it requires a lot faster footwork is to release the brake before pressing the clutch. The car is going to roll back but there is no guessing when the hill assist is going to release.
I'll do this on all but the steepest of hills, kind of when you'd use the hand...
If you never go above 4K RPM in daily driving on a 6MT is there any benefit to the base map tuning? I'd pay for this just for a rev hang adjustment but my understanding is that cannot be done for the 2020. The way I drive I may never reach the VTEC threshold in my life unless it can be lowered...
When I drive my Civic I park as far away from cars as I can. If it's somewhere I think will be crowded I take the wife's car even though it's worth more because she doesn't care where she parks so it's got a bunch of dings and has been in the shop so many times for bruises caused by non-moving...
Police won't get involved in something like this. Sucks but this just stuff everyone has to deal with when you own a car. No such thing as careless driver dings and scratches insurance. There is some pretty awesome painless dent removal guya around but be careful because there are bad ones as...
Anyone notice there is a really soft spot on the hood near the windshield wipers on the passenger side? I just apply normal pressure to wipe off some detailing spray and I can feel the hood flexing and making that popping noise sheet metal makes. I can't imagine using good ole paste wax from...
Are there different versions of this color? I have a 2020 in this color but when I see others on the road it doesn't always look the same... maybe those cars are just dirtier than mine.
I had a 84 RX-7 and 04 RX-8 and Mazda's reverse gears were so far right of 4th and 6th that you knew you were heading backwards if you ever shifted there. The Civic reverse feels far enough to the right of 6th but I still wait for the reverse cam before I start reversing.
The older MT cars I had before Civic used to have push down reverse gears so I was a little surprised when I didn't have to push down get to reverse the first time. VWs have reverse to the left of 1st gear which would seem to be a much more problematic place for reverse rather than to the right...
Just found out these two systems are one and the same. The main difference is hill assist releases the brake based on a predetermined time interval and the brake hold releases the brake upon throttle.
This explanation that I found explains it. This wasn't particular to Hondas but I'm sure it's...
It seems to take the place of hill assist for MT but has a quicker release. Still not sure if or when hill assist might override it depending on the steepness of the incline.
Still experimenting but I think I like brake hold better than hill assist as it seems to release much faster. Does brake hold override hill assist if it is turned on? The first time I tried hill assist I went to the steepest hill near me, it's concrete so it's too steep to lay asphalt, and I...
When I'm on the freeway that live MPG bar shows I'm getting 60+ MPG so I would think that offsets those periods of stop and go traffic. And I've been short shifting keepings RPMs below 3,000 while I break in the car. I'll try 91 octane on the next tank.
