Hey y'all, was cleaning out my garage and found these laying around not really sure what they are worth but if someone needs them PM me and we can work out a deal. Im totally willing to hook someone up. They came off my 2020 civic Si, The RMM has maybe 1500 miles on it.
The guys at the Subaru dealership told me they usually have anywhere between 100-150 cars at all times on their lot. Right now they have 60, and this batch that my 2022 showed up on was only 6 cars. They don’t expect anymore cars until next month and will probably get another handful of cars...
Nope! I used to sell cars back in the day. They sold me the outback at. $2800 discount. My area shows the KBB for the civic at 30-31 price range. LoL there just isn’t any inventory due to the chip shortage.
Both Stock the XT is faster than the Si. Especially with the new WRX and STI platform moving to the 2.4 turbo it will be interesting to see what tuning options open up this platform.
With the prices of these cars sky rocketing I decided to sell it for a profit and get something equally fun but more realistic for my family.
I traded my 2020 Si with 4600 miles on it for a 2022 Subaru limited Outback XT.
The dealership gave me 28k for it.
I have a few things I never installed...
I bought a roll of 2 inch thick foam and cut holes around the speaker locations then laid it between the metal and the plastic back trim before I put it back together. Then I used sound deadening on the metal inside the trunk. It still rattles a little on HEAVY bass hits with large 808 like some...
You can view the thread here, it requires some work and cutting of the OEM sub and bracket but it’s doable. I did this exact thing on my car and it sounds amazing.
Oh man! You’re on here? I subscribed and saved your channel for when it comes time for all my Si upgrades. Love your content and keep up the great work my man.
No one wants to buy someone else’s build.
It also has a perception of the car being ran hard if it’s modded. Majority of people are not like us and do not want to modify a car. They want to buy and drive it. Just the way it goes.
Tons of info about this in the tuning reliability thread. The short of it, you can get a ktuner/hondata and tune it for a very noticeable bump in power. Add some things like full front to back exhaust bolt ons and you will have a very fun reliable car.
check out that search bar.
The only downside I remember is that some insurance companies don’t replace it if you have damage on the covered area. So check with your insurance company as well. USAA does cover up to $5000 in “modifications” but some other do not.
Cris fix has a really great video about deep cleaning under your hood. It goes over the best way to handle not messing up your internals that may be water sensitive.
