All decent points from both - i did clean up the wires hence. (I rushed the initial job but ended up tearing out the rear deck a few more times to get rid of the panel vibrations.) FYI those crossovers are for the rear Polk DBs (the front Polk MM1 crossovers are in the doors) and yes, its a...
As far as losing the fade goes - use a separate EQ and do a single full-range input to the EQ, then use front/rear/sub outs to the amps. Regarding wiring diagrams - buy anything from Crutchfield and they give you the wiring info from the HU. I saw on another post how to merge to get full range...
I initially cut into my rear speakers and lost some of my bluetooth or phone ability as that is through the front speakers only - just fyi. (Not sure if i can post the Crutchfield info here.... Someone else posted the wire info i thought?)
i am currently using a scosche LOC2SL and it works fine, however, i saw the new version of my Clarion EQ has a speaker level input, i would have used that had it been an option. (So currently i go scosche to the clarion to the Rockford Fosgate and Kenwood Excelon Amps....)
I have the base EX (no factory sub) - kept the stock HU. Just upgraded the front to the Polk MM1 components/separates and put the DB6501s in the rear. Also upgraded to a Rockford Fosgate 4x 75 amp (Kenwood 950w and 12" alpine in trunk, still have the clarion EQ.) Polk MM1's on sale now -...
Are these the rear speakers? I can go pull mine off again, but I had them off when initially cutting in for my amp. Just checking in case you are doing something else. Sorry no help yet...
I second Beanko's vote for Polk DB6501's, i have them in the front with FAST rings (made the mid-bass even better) running from a kicker amp. I also have a 12" Alpine Type-R running from a Kenwood amp, which was a nice start, but the Polks and a Clarion EQ made 10x better than stock. If you...
Search the forums for "Audio Install" and look at Dwizzle14's EX-T post - he goes over everything! Part of his post is below answering your question:
FL + LT Green (Changes to Pink at door connector)
FL - LT Blue (Changes to Gray at door connector)
FR + Gray (Changes to Red at door connector)...
I am not sure i can make a long story short, so here goes. I had initially added my Alpine Type R sub to my 2016 Civic EX by tapping into the rear speakers and using the speaker level input on my Kenwood amp. Worked fine, but not good enough. So i added Polk DB6501 speakers to the front...
I believe it was under System/Other Settings/Theme, i'll try to get a better answer next time i am in the car. I was trying to find a way to get to the "Sound" settings (e.g. Bass/Treble/Etc) while in Android Auto, but ended up just installing the EQ instead with a LOC. So glad i did.
So i...
