  1. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

UPDATE 3yrs and over 40k miles later (all on TSP map 3) my 2018 6sp turbo hatch is still 100% problem free.
  2. What are your hobbies?

Sorry for delayed response, haven't been around here for a bit... https://www.oculus.com/experiences/rift/1369078409873402/?locale=en_US I play it on Quest2, but it's out there for Rift as well. My name is Captain_Amazing, if you ever get into it you can add me. It's so much fun.
  3. Time to get a tune? And which one.

I have the same car as you (but a 2018) and I highly recommend buying a ktuner from TSP and running their tune, it's excellent. But before you do that... which intake are you running? Make sure it's not one that will cause air metering issues... those will be magnified when you run a more...
  4. Realistically, what is the next car you are aiming to get in the next couple years?

I'll probably go electric for my next car, maybe a Tesla 3. Or even a 2, if they ever become a thing (I like small cars).
  5. 1.5T Non Si vs 1.5T Si

Once you go hatch, it's hard to go back. Now that I'm making some power I'm wishing I had an LSD, but given the choice I'd still gladly take the hatch. It's so incredibly useful. Aside from traction while in boost, I have zero complaints about power or handling. With the few inexpensive mods...
  6. Sway Bars and End Links

Definitely get the end links. Not only will they greatly improve steering feel, the stiffer aftermarket sway bars will put additional stress on the weak OEM links, so they'll fail sooner and you'll be replacing them anyway. You can use Accord links in the rear, they are metal and pretty cheap.
  7. Hands on with TSP's Stage 1 tune for the 1.5T (non-Si)

Thanks for the tip. It still breaks loose pretty easily in 1st but now I can floor it in 2nd and it just pulls hard.
  8. Hands on with TSP's Stage 1 tune for the 1.5T (non-Si)

So you're recommending "Moderate Ignition Pullback, Moderate Throttle Pullback"? Gonna reflash today.
  9. Hands on with TSP's Stage 1 tune for the 1.5T (non-Si)

Ummmm... I don't think so? Should I be? The only thing I've changed in the tune is I set 5th and 6th gears to stock boost levels.
  10. Hands on with TSP's Stage 1 tune for the 1.5T (non-Si)

I got a bone to pick with TSP-1 I added a catless downpipe and now map 3 is almost useless on anything but perfect dry straight roads (at least until I upgrade my crappy tires :D ). If I floor it in 2nd or even 3rd I get traction loss. I hadn't really noticed lack of an LSD until now! It's...
  11. What are your hobbies?

Do you by chance play Echo?
  12. 1.5T Catless DP + Resonator Delete = Too much drone/rasp/loud

    Was it part #1141? https://vibrantperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=46
  13. 1.5T Catless DP + Resonator Delete = Too much drone/rasp/loud

Not even close. A resonator can be had for under $50 and my guy will weld it in place for maybe another $50. I'm just curious how big I need to go... I guess I need to search youtube for sound clips of catless DPs on factory exhaust to get an idea of how it'd sound with factory res and go from...
  14. 1.5T Catless DP + Resonator Delete = Too much drone/rasp/loud

I didn't really want to spend too much, I'm already at my mod-budget limit for the moment. I was gonna just cram in the biggest resonator or muffler I could fit in place where the OEM res was, but not sure what is the best choice to put there.
  15. 1.5T Catless DP + Resonator Delete = Too much drone/rasp/loud

Originally I didn't think I was gonna do too many mods, so I deleted the resonator in my OEM exhaust for more sound. I liked it. Then the mod itch got me so I had my mechanic friend install a catless DP for me. I LOVE the power but now my exhaust gets way too drone-y and raspy (and loud) at...
  16. blow off valves

    Roll down the windows ?
  17. blow off valves

I wouldn't put a blow off valve on a car that was equipped with a recirculation valve from the factory. Once you blow off the air it is no longer metered and you are asking for problems such as rich conditions that will make it run worse.
  18. Wonder why Honda didn’t go with a flat engine in cars

Probably harder to cram a flat 4 transaxle in a FWD, its shape is more suited to RWD or rear-biased AWD configs.
