  1. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

You could remove the CDV if you want easy enough since you are taking off the Slave Cylinder anyway just don't push the piston through the boot like I did putting it back in.
  2. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

No the Flywheel and Clutch was plug and play for me anyway
  3. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

That is pretty easy. Make sure the steering wheel is locked. There is a trap door under the carpet beneath the accelerator and brake pedal. Its on 12mm bolt and then you can unspline the steering shaft from the rack and pinion you just pull up on the the steering shaft wiggle it a bit and it...
  4. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

There is a lot of disassembly before you can even drop the subframe and drop the tranny. All the suspension has to come off in the front, a bunch of little brackets and pig tales and random bolts. Its a lot of work way more than they make it seem in the ACT install video.
  5. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

It depends on what your working with and if you have help two guys that are pros or at least advanced amatures maybe one full day but if your looking to do it solo with jack stands and a floor jack I would say 2-3 days minimum.
  6. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

I do not know if it is to keep tabs on if you mod your car or not but it is very annoying that Honda Link now communicates with Honda via satellite and I do not think you can turn it off so anything you do to your car is automatically transmitted to Honda any warning, any change to the software...
  7. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

UPDATE: Got the new EPS rack installed and working but the dash is still all lit up and since the car is so new my dealer level scan tools does not have to software to calibrate or reset the loss of coms with the EPS so no ACC, LKAS or collision avoidance so I am gonna bite the bullet and take...

  10. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

Got the new slave cylinder in and that is fine she fired up and the clutch she is great. The lightweight flywheel adds a substantial amount of low end torque and shifts like butter. Seems though I jacked my steering rack despite my best efforts to repair the connector got a U0131 and I have no...
  11. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

Also as a friendly pro tip for those looking to do this themselves be very mindful where you put the slave cylinder after you disconnect it. It is very delicate apparently and the lines connecting it to the master cylinder are as well and will bend or break easily as I learned and that was $180...
  12. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

Will do as soon as I get her all back together and running I will give a detailed review of the Street Sprung ACT clutch and lightweight flywheel

  14. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

Still waiting to find out. She is still on the lift. 12 hours yesterday to get the tranny dropped, swapped the flywheel and pressure plate and disk, remount the transmission and then got maybe a little over half way through reassembly Issues I ran into. 1. Remember to disconnect the connector...
  15. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

Yea If I didn't have the lift and a proper Tranny jack no way I would have done this myself. Hell I even considered paying somebody to do it just because its such a pain. Not for the faint of heart.
  16. Cold air intake loss of power

Look for a leak in the system. All I can think of. I have a CAI and Cat Back exhaust system and I have seen huge gains. Do a few pulls and if you can monitor your MAP pressure make sure you are building and holding boost. Make sure your hose clamps are tight and the MAF sensor is functioning...
  17. Si Installing ACT Clutch and Flywheel

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and drop the tranny turned in to a two day job and day one was harder than I expected. Thankfully I have access to a lift and a full complement of pneumatic tools, jacks and stands. Not recommended if your thinking of going DIY. It is a serious undertaking...
  18. Oil Changes

Full Synth every 5K and if your running a blend or god forbid regular oil then every 3K but do not put anything but full synth in your 10 gen civic
  19. BLOWN TURBO or a boost leak :(

If your gonna tune past stock turbo boost limit worth investing in aftermarket charge pipes and intercooler.
