I also want a 370z... to keep my GT350 company. Don't buy an Si for big powa, that is all I have to say. Its a great daily though and I love the boosty sounds.
I also live in a land of shitty roads so I usually drive in normal. I have my sport mode set to 22 and my normal to 20 on the base maps. I think normal is smoother for driving unless I really feel like beating on it.
The rev hang is kind of a buzzkill if you don't tune it. I had a 275hp R32 Golf and the interior fell apart, drive train was great. I don't know if I would want to keep the Si stock. I just run the rev hang delete and ktuner base map for shits and giggles. LSD is good, not the best for sure but...
I've tried launching mine like a dumby on bad concrete so I'm sure it'll be hard to hurt it on accident. Accidentally shifted into 4th instead of 6th for a second thankfully I wasn't reving it out. After a while it will feel natural and you'll stop goofing up.
That sounds like one spicy meatball of an Si. I have to go out of my way to even open up the 200hp. Most of the time I'm just chilling behind a minivan going under the limit.
She is a chonker, I hear the 500 has better steering you really feel the 295s on mine. I can't wait to see what the sporty C8 trims will be like. On my shitty crumbly roads the 520HP is plenty, hitting the limiter in 2nd is always pretty hard haha.
I thought the Mfactory only works with the base or non Si trannys. I'm pretty ok with my Si, I've got a GT350 when I need to go fast. Just flashed the ktune base map on the civic for fun.
This is a good video from Aegean Blue Si that shows the limit of the stock Si diff. I'm sure the 2020 is probably the same just with shorter diff ratio.
The Si helical seems to be tuned for wider turns and is not so great on tighter turns. I'd be curious what the clutch type would drive like. Even in my Si its kinda chunky at low speed.
Yeah haha, I usually just send my car on the freeway ramps. Even if I'm tuned I'll still probably get gapped by Camrys. Blessed with a v8 moostang for racing haha.
It is a giant pain in the ass to get an aftermarket LSD though. Even the Si one is not the best it is pretty mildly tuned for binding. Si is mostly just for cornering, I'm trying to get a ktuner and then I'll flash my 2020.
