  1. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Haha I saw that when I searched this forum. I am quite surprised that a dealer that can ask that much over sticker would end up being a good experience once they reduced it to MSRP. I was thinking they would try to pull some last minute shenanigans but everything went really smooth.
  2. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Color and looks are subjective so I respect that. For me personally this is the kind of blue I always wanted in a car. It kind of reminds me a little of the laguna seca blue on the M3 a little bit. I have been wanting a BMW in laguna seca since I was a kid and saw it on the 2001 M3. Again I...
  3. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

The new ones have automatic highbeams that my 2018 did not have.
  4. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Agree it wont be the same but I have driven an SS and the cassis is really nice and balanced. One of the bess GM platforms.
  5. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Nice summary. I almost forgot about the automatic brights which are cool. I did not even know the car had it until a few days ago.
  6. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

I am familiar with the option to retrofit the shifter which I was thinking of doing in my 2018 when I had it. I did not trade in my 2018 directly for the 2021. However, I would have probably traded it in not because of the upgrades, but because I was approaching 60k miles and with the cars...
  7. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Wow congrats!! Saw some posts of people giving you a hard time. I think its not too crazy to upgrade as the 2021 will definitely be worth a little more as its 2 years newer with a nice amount of revisions. I also think boost blue will be in demand as it was only made for 2 model years. And its...
  8. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

My old one did in the beginning, not so much as time went on. The new one had a small hint but nothing noticeable. Yup we do have similar tastes :)
  9. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

I was in the same boat. My black R was a pain to clean. Go with Boot Blue for sure!! In person it looks so good! You can always swap out the steering wheel if it bothers you that much.
  10. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Background: I am not new to the forum but I haven't really been that active on here when I first purchased my first Type R. In January of 2019 I had a 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder and I needed a fun practical car to drive as my daily driver as I drove about 30-35k miles a year at that time. I...
