BenStone, in my civic I simply replaced all four speakers and also installed sound deading mat in the doors. If replacing the front door speakers the door will already be open/exposed, a great time to install the mat. Even w/ the stock head unit the sound improved immensely.

Honestly I'd just stick to upgrading all four speakers. Use the subwoofer money to instead purchase a new headunit that can bass up your sound if you want to do more.

Just finished the project on my Coupe. One 10 sqFt package was enough, I have 1.5 sheets left actually. For the Coupe doors I used a little over 4 per door (diagrammed below) and have 80% coverage. Each sheet measured 15 x 9.5. Overall it turned out great, the material is very easy to work with.

Thanks. I just measured my coupe's doors; each is approx 2' x 4' - so a 10 sqFt of material pack is enough for one door only. Are you sure you only used one pack for both doors? Also, some reviews mention it's actually an asphalt-based material. What's your experience?
