    Back with an update to my update. Expanded the platform so I could have company ? and added additional hinges so the platform(S) don’t have to be removed to put the rear seats upright & haul rear passengers. Auto fabric arrives tomorrow, and the whole thing will be covered to look more like...

    I did a thing! Built a level platform with storage, for car camping. Built the day we left on our trip with scrap lumber from old garage shelves.

    I’m back with an update! I built a platform to level out the trunk for sleeping, and give me storage. Tested it this weekend camping and loved it!

    I saw the handle replacement sunglasses holder, but I camp in my car and use my handles to attach my custom blackout curtains, so didn’t want to remove them.

    Received a sunglasses holder from Amazon and instead of clipping it to my visor, (and then can’t use the mirror) I velcroed it to the headliner where Honda should have put a sunglasses holder.

  9. Camping with the CTR

    Must be us Michiganders! I love camping in my Civic hatch. First time was at Indiana Dunes state park, and last time was Allegheny National Forrest when I met my daughter for a hiking weekend. She has the black Jeep Grand Cherokee, I’m the white civic, at Jake’s Rock, Allegheny.

    Added window visors and louvers. Before / After.

  12. What color is your Civic and if you had to get something else, what would it be?

    I have a white civic hatchback, would have chosen black as my second choice. I’d like a black passport next time.

  13. What features do you like best about your Civic?

    Love the proximity key/keyless entry, Apple CarPlay, heated seats. Hate the location of the econ button as my dog toggles it on and off frequently.

    I put traction boards in her trunk. FYI the 42” maxtrax knockoffs from Amazon fit perfectly!

    2008 Cadillac CTS named Henry. Like most men in my life, Henry was very nice to look at, but was completely unreliable. ?

  16. Sunglasses Storage?

    Nothing elegant, but I keep my sunglasses in a koozie, in the driver door storage area.

  17. Hatchback owners, have you slept/camped in the back yet?

    I routinely camp in my civic hatchback! I place a piece of cut foam in the drop, of the trunk/boot, to level it out. Then lay down my tent camping pad, then my inflatable backpacking pad, then my bedding. I’m 5’4”, 150 lbs, and It’s super comfortable for me to sleep back there. FYI...My son...
