I cannot speak to the differences between Ktuner and Hondata as I have only used a KTuner but I think you will find these threads helpful with questions one and two. I was hesitant at first too but after reading plenty of threads and doing some more research outside of here I feel i made a good...
I have not run the KTuner basemaps but do use the Phearable tune full time and I really enjoy. Map 1 feels like stock+ while 2 has a noticeable amount of more power but is still very drivable as a daily. I have not actually used the third map as of now (the torque and boost make me fear for my...
I swapped out the stock bulbs in my taillights for LEDs. Backing up at night is definitely easier now. Sadly I damaged a clip on one light. It’s still secured but I might look into gorilla gluing the piece that broke or just getting a replacement clip. Then I took it out to have an excuse to...
Thank you, unfortunately these are not currently available on Amazon but I can keep an eye out for them in the future. Going strong for 3+ years is always a good sign.
Hi All,
I am looking to replace the stock bulbs in my taillights with some LEDs, for at least the reverse lights, if not all (might as well just open it up one time). I am looking for recommendations on bulbs. There are a ton out there and they all seem to be about the same. I was thinking...
Brought my car in for service and found out that my brakes made noise because they are “delicately manufactured” but that it is normal. They work just fine and the sound isn’t bad or always present. More exciting development is i reflashed the Phearable tune. I definitely missed it
For casual driving around town I usually leave it on map 1. It feels like how stock should have been. When I want to drive more aggressively or feel I might need the extra power, like when merging onto a busy highway I go to map 2. I haven't tried map 3 yet because I have not had the tune for...
Thanks guys. This is both helpful and frustrating at the time same time lol. Frustration aimed at Honda and myself. I will be more vigilant going forward since that seems to be the only way to avoid this causing problems in the future.
I heard a strange "dub-dub" sound the other day while driving, most noticeable at low speed. Suspecting it might be a tire issue, I checked the pressure on all 4, one tire was at 19psi and the others were about 23. (Normal pressure should be 32psi. Stock tires) I did not get a TPMS indicator and...
Thank you so much, you’re the man! I feel better now. I did not get a CEL and everything felt good while driving. I love the tune and will definitely be adding new car to the survey, just want to get a few miles on it first. It’s been flashed for less than a week but I already have a reminder...
I recently flashed my car for the first time and took for a drive both just for fun and to get a datalog to see how things are running. I have a 2019 Hatchback CVT and am on the Phearable 1.5 tune. I checked the log and noticed that I had a total of 6 misfires, two in cylinder 3 and four in...
This is actually pretty perfect. I had read some of your other threads about both tunes and the general feeling I got was it comes down to personal preference. The smoothness of Phearable that you and others have made note of seems really appealing to me. I don't love the higher knock control of...
Thank you to all for the input and information. I will definitely be purchasing a KTuner in the coming days. Now just need to decide which tune I would rather have thrown in for free with it, TSP or Phearable. Don't see myself running the Stage 0 for very long ;)
Would it be safe to run stage 0 on 87 just to get rid of that tank and then throw 93 in going forward regardless of which tune I choose or would it be better to not flash until I fill up with higher octane?
Thanks for the insight. I would not have thought about driving around with 93 for a bit before flashing. It's interesting that Ktuner notes that stage 0 and even 1 can be run on 87 but they advise higher for 0. Like you I would rather be safe than sorry. I have pretty much full tank of 87 right...
Yes I have and plan to use 93 in the future with a more powerful tune. I want to start small since I am not doing much driving right now (less than 3k miles since last March) so I don't really feel the need to burn the higher octane fuel for a 5 minute trip to the store where I can't open things...
Apologies if there is already a thread about this but I couldn't find one. I am going to be purchasing a KTuner soon and despite all the research and reading I have done, thanks @gtman for some great threads! I have been unable to find anything relating to the user experience of running a...
