There is a dealer in my area who has 3 Type R's.
They had marked up the price on 2 of them to $48k and 1 of them to $46.
They emailed me today letting me know they were dropping the price on all 3 of them by $4k.
Maybe the tide is turning somewhat on the desirability of these cars...

I'm sorry, but Huggins Honda does not sell the Type R for MSRP. You may have "talked" to someone there about getting one at MSRP, but I gather you never "bought" a Type R there - right? Also, they just don't add "tint". I'm curious, how many times have you talked to them or visited their...
David McDavid Honda of Frisco, Tx advertising a white 2021 Type R at the MSRP Price of $48,845. Bad reputation as a dealer as well. (I know the McDavid family) LOL
If you do a search on Autotrader, most of the Type R's still for sale are White and Gray. It's interesting to me that in my area in Texas, most of the dealers had White or Gray as well (those have sold). A dealer close to me is getting another Type R soon - of course it's White.
I'm thinking...
My closest dealer texted me and said they will be getting a Type R in a few weeks and, like before, they will be selling it at the usual $44,000 with the dealer add ons and mark up.
I said, 'of course you will" - in which he replied, "just be thankful we're not charging you $8k over MSRP like...
I drive a 2017 Honda Civic Si Coupe. I bought it brand new in September, 2017. It's close to being 3 years old, but only has 8300 miles on it. It really is in perfect condition and it drives great.
Since I have this car, the "urge" to get the Type R has lessened since I first started looking...
Hey guys:
I just read that Honda is discontinuing the Honda Fit after this year.
Also, the Civic Coupe is being discontinued as well.
And the Civic Si won't be released for 2021, but will come back for 2022 for the 11th gen version. (since Honda's getting rid of the Coupe, are they going to...
That dealer is located in Austin and they have/had a Boost Blue model. The sticker price pictured made it seem like the legit sale price. However, it was not. When you go and look at it, the dealer added much more to that sticker price.
One of the other forum members can verify that too...
I'm in Fort Worth and that's what I've been saying for awhile now.. I think there's a Type R in Austin, San Antonio and just north of Houston. Otherwise, I think MS, LA and AR had one each, last time I checked.
With the Coronavirus spreading and this heat wave we're having, I'm just kind of...
The hospitalization numbers in Texas are not inflated and there are no empty hospitals. Is it using "scare tactics" when your father dies from it and your mother and brother are on respirators?. That's what I'm dealing with. Will you be saying the same thing if you get sick from it?
Just some questions/thoughts for the Forum members.
What do you think will happen with the Type R market in the next 6 months?
When the Limited Edition becomes available in the USA, I assume those are going to be "first choice" among Type R buyers. Does that mean the regular Type R's will be...
Exactly my point! Not only are they adding useless "add ons" like Nitrogen in the tires, etc., they also hit you with the "Dealer Market Adjustment Pricing".
I really feel that this Coronavirus is going to be with us for months and that we are slipping backwards towards another "shelter in...
I'm giving up on the Type R for now!
The 8 dealers in my 40 mile radius have sold all 11 of their Type R's for around the same price of $45,000 with a couple of them going for $48,000.
I've done searches for dealers further away from me and in other states and most will still not give you an...
I was just reading and watching some videos on the new 2020 Type R Sport and I'd much rather own that version of the Type R than the ones we have here. Apparently, the Sport version is not going to be sold in the USA. Sad!
