  1. Lima, Ohio

The University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) is full of kids who are car people, that just haven't grown up yet. I used to be one of them and it makes for some very questionable automotive decisions when you are surrounded by a bunch of people that won't talk you out of dumb stuff. Lol
  2. Lima, Ohio

I work over at chemical plant/refinery, but I don't get to that side of the tank farm often. Its so weird though. I'd seen a couple coupes. I even see the red '17 sedan I almost bought used when I first started looking at the Si. But in the last two weeks I've seen a black 2020, a white 2020...
  3. Few simple questions...

3rd and 4th are great for spirited driving. Ill use even 5th some of the time. I like the feel of the torque rolling into it at around 2800 - 3000.
  4. Lima, Ohio

I've been one of 2 Si's around my "city" for the last 12 months. All the sudden, I'm seeing them every where. Wondering what the chances are its one of you.
  5. 275/35r18 on +38 or +45 18x9.5

I've used the search. I only see CTR guys talking about it. I like the look of a fat tire and some poke, but I am thinking about getting swift Spec R's in the future and I dont really want to worry about rubbing. I do plan on dialing in as much negative camber as I can with adjustable ball...
  6. Should I get a 10th gen Si or....

Having had an e36 myself, it would be hard to pick. I miss my 328 a lot, but the Si makes more sense and its almost as fast through the twisties. I like whipping through corners more than straight line speed and for all that you get with a new 10th gen, I'm happy I have it. Room enough and...
  7. 2020 Si speaker sub upgrade.

So months after living with this setup, are you still happy?
  8. Canadiaegean Blue's Si Sedan Build Thread

I understand how suspensions work, I guess I was assuming that it would be read as Swift spec R lowering springs with factory dampers, as that is a common combination for those choosing to opt for lowering springs/factory dampers vs the coilover route.
  9. Canadiaegean Blue's Si Sedan Build Thread

I've seen you talking about Swift springs for the future of Blue, any idea when you'll be getting those done. You seem very thorough in your reviews and I'd like to read more about the driving characteristics than, "It drives nice, would recommend" lol.

  11. What should I get?

Very satisfied with my stock 2020 Si. Ill end up modding it, but ill got almost 7k stock miles on it and I am very pleased with the performance of a brand new $25k car. You'll be hard pressed to find a better value. Daily drives great and it is fun for the spirited drives I take on the weekends...

  13. For those who have lowering springs, any issues with premature wear on the shocks?

Lots of views and no replies. I dont have any first hand knowledge of it yet. But I was looking at doing the same thing. I have the same plans and wondered myself. My guess is a moderate drop (I've pretty well decided on Swift, but looked at the Eibach and Whitelines) will have an effect, but...
  14. 27WON Intercooler kit ( FMIC )- a full customer review ( EU FK7 )

So why black? Did they do this just to be different. It seems like a coating might have a negative impact on heat exchange, especially a black one.
  15. EBC Brakes and Pads

Do we know if this holds true in the 2020 models? I dont remember reading that anything changed, but I want to make sure before I start looking.
  16. Aftermarket brake rotors and pads for Si

Why isn't there a slotted version of any of these rotors for the rear. I cant seem to wrap my head around it. I cant imagine a little extra bite in the rears disrupting the braking balance of the car. Especially when they make such huge improvements over stock for the front.
  17. Trying to Heel-Toe in this thing

FWIW I have small feet so I dont know if this will help. I havent gotten the Acuity spacer yet, and I was dead set on it until I got a downshift right by accident the other day. Getting used to the new pedals, i have been driving with my Puma Speed Cats exclusively, until I get a better feel...
  18. Bunch a cvt throwing rods

I really enjoy that this thread is carrying on under the presumption that the CVT is throwing the rods and the "stronger" manual transmissions are saving the them
  19. 27Won Customer Service

Nice. I havent bought any aftermarket parts, but for all that I have read, I really like the philosophy they have for creating aftermarket parts. I can really appreciate the process of developing upgrades that perform without sacrificing fit and finish. It is nice to hear that they have a...
  20. Faint buzz or vibration when acelerating.

I just realized this was on the type r forum, so dont mind my Si comments lol. Yea that active sound control is a little annoying. Not as bad as I expected, but noticable.
