Thanks for posting this. My 2016 Honda Civic Touring audio fritzed out today, had loud popping sounds, tried rebooting a couple of times, popping went away, but then no sound at all. Rebooted, turned off Neural DTS, rebooted again, now there is sound. Hopefully sound will keep working.

The dealership has actually has been great, they even admitted receiving calls daily for Civics with the same problems, they have done a lot to help. It’s Honda regional management and corporate that is the issue. AC is a known problem for this model year. Honda needs to do right, admit its...

My 2016 Civic Touring A/C was blowing warm air a couple of months ago during the summer heat. Took in to dealer, it was compressor, which was replaced under warranty along with some other A/C parts.
Like many others, I experienced multitude of headaches with Display Audio and CarPlay. Since updating to iOS 11 all the stability and usability issues are gone. Glad it finally works!
There have been known instability problems with 2016 Honda Civics Display Audio (infotainment system) and CarPlay - there are multiple threads on this site.
I have a 2016 Honda Civic Touring, and have had multiple problems for 17 months until last week when Apple released iOS 11 - since...
iOS 11 came out Tuesday 09/19 - updated my iPhone 7 plus. Don't want to jinx this, but since Tuesday, it appears all connectivity, camera, and instability problems are gone - it just works. Crossing fingers this is finally resolved. Curious to hear any others experience.
Thanks for the reply.
Civic Touring has Display Audio head unit. Not sure what is meant by "upgraded", this is the "top of the line" unit, which is standard on the Touring model.
Will this work for a 2016 Civic Touring Sedan?
The climate control is tightly integrated with Touring's existing head unit - can that be used with this?
Backup camera works, how about the Lane Watch camera (right hand turn camera)?
Can you use Apple CarPlay with this?
I'm interested in an aftermarket replacement head unit (infotainment) for 2016 Honda Civic Touring. I hate the Touring infotainment unit! So far, have not found a solution.
Latest at news from my dealer July 2017 sent to them from Honda corp tech, "From our investigation, the problem seems to be a device issue where the DA intermittently loses CarPlay connection (or cause instability) when a huge library of media source is used through iCloud. They will keep...
As mentioned by someone else in this thread, swap out the Lightning cable for a fresh Apple branded one, that may solve the issue.
BTW, CarPlay on the new Honda Civics, at least in my case (2016 Touring Sedan), has been a big headache. Honda and Apple need to do a better job of working...
To expand on the issues I've had for over a year (mentioned above in this thread), I use genuine Apple cables, have tried several, same problem. Also, I'm on my second iPhone, both the 6 plus and 7 plus, have same problem.
This is a common problem with of the new Honda's with Infotainment (Display Audio) system. I've had the same problem with my 2016 Civic Touring sedan. Do you use Apple Music or iCloud Music Library? It's been speculated there is an issue with large music libraries that "may" be the problem. I've...
Call Honda at 1-800-999-1009, that's where I initiated my first complaint. I was issued a case number and assigned a case manager. I described each infotainment issue I've been experiencing in detail, both with my dealer and Honda case manager. I've even met with in person the service manger at...
Received a call from my Honda corp. case manager last week, he says a software update is coming out mid to late January 2017. Hopefully it will fix all the glitches I've been experiencing. Crossing fingers.
