Hey guys,
Couldn't find a great deal on removing a UK front license plate, the parts manual doesn't really help either. Aside from the centre plastic "bolt", it's mounted at two points but I can't tell from which direction they're bolted (assuming they're screwed in).
Do I have to remove the...
Just to update.
- Took the car back to the tuner to have the tune rechecked. Started afresh, couldn't find anything wrong with the tune. No fix.
- Swapped the ECU for another and retuned. No fix.
- Swapped wastegate actuator. No fix.
- Moved the VTEC to 3.8K, click and judder move also.
- The...
Understandably most of you are in the USA so this might not apply (unless you've swapped an import).
I'm going to be moving from the UK to mainland Europe in a couple of months and I'd love to take the civic with me. As you'd expect, driving a RHD car in a LHD country won't be ideal. Has...

Updating this thread as I go along for the benefit of the minor few that might run into the same problem as me.
Flashing back to stock brought about no stutter or click, though the datalog seems to suggest something different. At around 4280RPM I'm seeing a slight drop off of fuel pressure...
Sorry, should have included duty cycle too. Looks like it's not consistent, rising steadily to around 28%, dropping a little and then continuing onwards. But then with some it rises without stopping (the stutter varies with each instance I've noticed, sometimes it's more pronounced than others).
Managed to get a couple of screenshots. Sorry about the resolution, the windows laptop I use isn't great.
At the point of stuttering at 4200RPM, there seems to be; a drop in fuel pressure (then a slow rise back to full pressure), AFR blips towards lean (max I saw was 12.2, otherwise sitting...
It's funny you should say that. I know some US spec cars have had issues with their transmissions and have had pump recalls too. Mine seems to be one of the only UK models that has the transmission issue, I'll get onto honda to see if my LP pump needs changing. (My VIN isn't showing as a recall...
@boosted180sx @02SilverSiHB
Thanks for the info. I'll get the datalog on it tonight and see if I can forward some graphs over.
I messaged the tuner to see what troubleshooting they did. They said it's unlikely to be the fuel pump as they've ran more aggressive tunes with similar setups on...

Thank you all for your input
Whilst running on the stock tune I did find on the IC hoses had slipped a touch, maybe that’s happened again. I’ll try and see if the pipes are attached firmly as a first.
Then, I’ll run the datalog tonight and seen what the...
Hey guys,
Today I had my CTR tuned by a reputable U.K Honda tuner using Ktuner V1.2. End results were 386BHP and 353LBFT. During the post-tune street runs, the tuner noticed an audible/physical blip occurring at around 4200RPM, coinciding roughly with the peak torque point. Audibly it sounds...
Bump. I'm not sure if the U.K horn is the same the U.S spec one but there's nothing less threatening than the pathetic k-car-esque *toot toot* the CTR horn has ?
Quick question silver, I ended up going for the pipes too as you suggested. Did you have to remove the safety bar at all or chop into the radiator fan plastic support at all as it suggests? The instructions make it look a hell of lot more in depth than a core in/out job ha!
Oh? I thought the core was a straight swap for the stock core and the piping (the inlet/outlet charge pipes I should clarify) was an optional extra? The HKS end tanks are the same by the look of it.
The size of the lettering is half the reason why I'm put off by the stencil.
Cheers
Two questions if anybody could weigh in...
1) I'm looking at buying this IC soon but am undecided on the piping kit that comes with it. Are the stocks pipes suitable with a tune? Or should I go for the extra piping kit too? I know silicone has a habit of expanding under high system pressures...
