  1. DIY-2020 Si 4dr Whiteline Springs and Ball Joints

Thanks! The springs feel like oem to me when in normal mode and a little stiffer than oem when in sport. I like them a lot. Perfect drop for me. The ball joints gave me the clearance/room I needed for my tire/wheel setup to prevent rubbing. I’ve got the rear sway bar from whiteline as well...
  2. Replacement Battery Options

I had a Walmart battery in my Miata for 5 years. Just replaced it after it sat for some time. It survived two bad alternators as well. I’ve also had good luck with Interstate batteries.
  3. Let me see your grill!

You can just barely see the outline of the type r. I used a dremel to remove the the type r backing to allow more airflow and to make it less noticeable. It wasn’t difficult but I took my time because I was nervous about damaging the grill.
  4. Let me see your grill!

You can see the impact bar at the bottom of the grill. It seems like the grill sits against it a little. It bothered me when installing it but I haven’t had any issues.

18x8.5 +40 245/40R18 PS4S Whiteline springs and adjustable front lower ball joints.
  7. Guys please help

There are companies that will repair this type of damage. I used to work for a dealership and we had a vendor that would come in and repair door panels, dashes, center consoles and leather seats. 90% of the time, I wouldn’t be able to tell there was any damage before.

  9. Post your aftermarket wheel/tire set up

I think the gold would look good on the blue. I remember seeing another member had gold 17in RPFs on his blue sedan at some point.
  10. Post your aftermarket wheel/tire set up

Thanks! From what I read when I ordered them, .8in all around. Unfortunately, I did not measure before and after. I didn’t want a really low drop. Just enough to close the wheel gap a little.

Time to do the rears. 1. Loosen rear lug nuts half a turn. 2.Jack up vehicle and place Jack stands at jacking points. 3. Remove the lug nuts and rear wheels. 4. Remove the two 12mm sway bar end link bolts. There is one on each control arm. 5. Place your Jack underneath the right control...
  13. DIY-2020 Si 4dr Whiteline Springs and Ball Joints

I am a mechanic by trade. I used a drive on lift for the install as I work in a shop. It took me about 6 hours to do this job including an alignment. I took the entire knuckle off since I was doing the ball joints at the same time. My car only has 20k miles on it and I live in the south. So rust...
  14. Fuel economy decreased after 40k

Have you done a manual MPG calculation yet? Your fuel trims don’t look bad to me but I’m not super familiar with the civic’s fuel trims. Generally speaking, they look fine to me.
  15. Fuel economy decreased after 40k

Have you tried disconnecting your battery and retesting? If not, I’d try a hard reset. Disconnect your negative post cable and let it sit for about 30 seconds and then reconnect the terminal. Just to be clear, you are actually having to fill up more or is it that the instrument cluster is...
  16. Bjørn’s 2020 Si Fun DD

Got my red H badges on and decided to install the black trunk garnish. Not sure about it yet. May go back to white. Still need to put the Si badge on the rear.
  17. Stalling issue in 2022 civic

The stop/start systems are more about reducing emissions than fuel savings. Best way to reduce emissions? Turn the engine off.
  18. I need 245/40r18 tire setup advice with 18x8.5 +47 wheels

I’m running 18x8.5 +40 with 245/40r18 Michelin PS4S. Not super meaty but no stretch in my opinion and they cover the wheel. You should have plenty of room at +47.
  19. I need 245/40r18 tire setup advice with 18x8.5 +47 wheels

I think at that offset(+47) you should be fine with a 245/40 when lowered. I think you start to see rubbing when the offset is lower.
  20. Trunk Release Button not working.

If the car is still under warranty, take it to the dealer and let them fix it. If not, I’d start by taking the door panel off and checking that the connector is fully seated into the switch. If it is, disconnect it, check for corrosion and reconnect. See if it works after that. If not, time to...
