Just recieved obd2 today I have an open circuit on the driver side. But all wires are connected maybe a harness has broken I don't no but everything is connected as I didn't Un hook anything. Gonna try replacing the harness and see what happens I guess.
So I just recieved my obd2 scanner today... Tried to do maintenance mode. Apparently I have an open circuit on the driver side which seems to be a common problem. Apprently have to buy a new wire harness. I suppose..
Running into the same exact problem. I just recieved the obd2 computer to try to do the put brake into maintenance mode but it said the exact thing yours does. Open circuit. Driver side. Did you figure out the fix to this. I've checked my harnesses all are attached and pretty sure i didnt break...
Same thing happened to me, 2017 honda civic. Car had about 47,000 on it there was a leak in the condenser which honda said was caused by a rock. They would not replace for free and ended up charging me almost a 1000.
Pretty rediculous you gotta take it to a dealer almost to get the brakes changed. Luckily and old friend of mine is a Honda tech and is bringing over her scanner to but the thing in maintenance mode and or figure out what is up
So basically I need to take everything back apart to do this. I didn't spend much time looking at the actuator so not sure if I need to take the whole assembly apart or is the actuator removable with out having to re do the main piston
So I did the front brakes first had the parking brake engaged. Automo trans. Then after completing the front I started the car pumped the brakes disengaged the parking brake turned the car off. And continued with the rear. Turned the piston with a block tool purchased from autozone. Turned...
So your saying turn the car off with the pedal applied. Put the ebrake on then off three or four times. Start the engine then fasten seaten belt while holding the brake pedal and then apply parking brake a few more times. Need more details please
