If you still have it, could you post the repair order from the dealer that agreed to CVT replacement ? Not doubting that was the problem, so we all have some ammunition going back to our respective dealers (redact personal info of course)
another possibility is a spill from the PDI process, as some techs will add coolant should they find the level isn't up to what they believe it should be. Any sort of spillage could have lingered for some time.
Certainly not right. I would suggest somewhere in the heater unit, either the core or one of the hoses might not have been properly seated from the factory. Def worth a trip to the dealer.
Haha congrats man!! I try to always get these things posted as quickly as possible, so the community knows exactly what to walk into the dealership with. Information is the best tool we have until all of our issues are resolved.
yea sure thing! I ordered three kits this afternoon, and the bulletin lists they are being drop shipped from California, so im shooting for early next week; but I will get the bulletin to you guys in the mean time.
Personal opinion : this is the design they went to for the 2017 model coupes, so...
You may contact them ahead, but Honda will be mailing out notices next week, with arrival around the 2nd week of December. If you don't want to fool with your dealer right now, you can wait on the mailer. No one has all the parts yet, as this was just released to us today. Ill post an update...
I will post the full bulletin here later on today, but big news first:
repair kit includes a new, redesigned cover, a new cover bracket, and a window template for the technician.
The cover secures differently, and also has epoxy.
It is a new cover, as well as a redesigned one.
bulletin...
right? so it'd be a little cheaper, if we could make the hatchback work. The shipping on those also doesn't cover any potential customs fees (which I doubt the seller would cover).
stop what your doing!
Honda has begun notifying dealers that we are receiving kits that will fix this issue. We will all be getting a letter in the mail starting in December. this is a product update, not a recall. will post more info when the service bulletin is released.
That looks great! I imagine the reason for the interest in the hatch has to do with the lower portion of the grill that runs under the headlights and over the bumper cover. On the hatch, this piece is gloss, like the upper, and is sold as one piece. That is a great price though!
Honda likes to do that with parts it has an initial short supply on, to keep people like us from overloading dealers prior to initial shipments, they have a precedent of doing it initially. I checked before release and the images I uploaded to the thread about the hatch parts had it at that...
From another dealer employee perspective, do not float that line down the stream. We have no long term durability tests on the entirely new platform that is the 1.5T. The 2.0L recall was based on installation error from the factory, and not a design/longevity issue from the platform. Id say the...
AGREED 100%. If you consistently look for it, you will always find it. It does not damage anything, and we ( as a dealer group) have acknowledged it since I first discovered it on mine. a small handful of dealers that haven't ran into the issue yet, doesn't translate to most. Please don't...
