As for adding an option that was not there from the factory. It has been my experience with most cars, the wiring harness is very specific to the options that came from the factory. I don't think you will find connector that are not attached to their specific feature.

My 19 SI coupe has the heated mirrors as well as heated seats. Not sure if the CTR had them or not in 19. Surely they did!!!

The noise that jj describes sounds like my noise. Very low popping throughout the turning of the steering wheel. Perhaps most noticeable when turning into a parking spot and there is a lot of steering input?
