I don’t recall saying I was “ stock “ I said I was running stock boost levels. A 10th gen si’s L15b7 runs at 20.3 psi. Regardless…. A brand new motor, should not have an issue after a few pulls, that aren’t even to redline. Car has never even been launched. I’m starting to think it’s the coil...
Welp, what I did notice was that Honda never put my under side cover back on…… which is annoying. As for hoses, I did a skim before a bee kept harassing me, and I don’t notice any loose looking hoses, so I took pics, if anyone noticed anything out of the ordinary please point it out
Ahhh okay, I’ll have to check that tomorrow, when I first looked I didn’t see anything too out of the ordinary, but maybe I need to take a closer look. I hope that’s all it is for an issue, shit I’d rather it be me needing to replace the turbo. That’s cheaper than doing another head gasket, and...
I just had my motor replaced by Honda, I was just under the warranty…. I had my long block supposedly replaced. It was replaced because I had a head gasket blow, and for months no one including Honda could figure out what it was. Anyways, I find it odd, that I got the car back and I did not beat...
hell yeah bb, those heavy ass stock rims look good.... just painted mine actually... but its temp as i plan to get lighter rims and better tires and use stock rims as my winter set up. i heard the ri,ms were heavy but i did not know they were that Bad
Yeah I don’t have a choice, I have no choice but to drive it up the highway to my jobs yard. It’s about a 7 min drive. Car drives fine just can’t rip it. Is it good to drive it like this ? No …. But I literally have no choice. Before I knew it was this issue, I couldn’t find a single mechanic...
Did you do the work yourself? I’ve never taken off the head on the L15B7 … only a k20z3, so I’m actually looking for a good idk video of it, or some instructions, so I can make sure I do it correctly, I have to buy a torque wrench for the studs. But what’s what ever, I’d anyone else here knows...
Yeah, I some how didn’t know about this headstud issue. I thought the clutch, was the main weak point at that boost pressure. Lol oops…..
but what’s weird about it, was I didn’t really beat on my car. But maybe it was that one time I was racing a 335 on the highway and took it up to almost 150...
Yeah I’m trying to avoid a warped head, or other very expensive to fix/machine shop type damage lol. It sucks, I wish I could just park the car, and have a bunch of parts and just add it all the same weekend, then go get it tuned. But I don’t have a 2nd car at the moment , and idk about you. But...
Ok, so a while ago I made a thread about having misfires…. Well those are “ fixed “ here is my issue…. Lol brace yourself.
a few months ago I was in school and struggling to make ends meet. I’m good now but back in that time I couldn’t even afford to do maintenance. Anyways long story short...
I forgot to delete this one, no point now. I came across the one you have above after I made this one. Don’t come on here often so I don’t know the site as well.
Hmmm. Good point. I don’t beat on the car though. I hardly ever rip the car. I don’t hit redline I’ve used launch control once in 2 years. So idk that’s weird. I won’t even rip the car under 3500 rpm’s. I baby the shit out of it. But I’ll have to look into what you’re saying
So had all injectors replaced. Have a new coil pack on cylinder 4 lol and car is still misfiring like a champion idk what to think anymore. Head gasket ??
I’m on the phearable tune. 25 ~ psi. Race MAF cobra cold air intake. Car has new spark plugs, the other day I had to top it off with coolant cause it was over heating. It drives like trash. I dont beat on the car. I get 35mpg if that puts it in to perspective. Barely drive the thing too...
Yup. But I reflashed back to my phearable tune. And it runs fine. But sometimes when I give it gas I get that “ sputter “ or hitting if an imaginary redline. It’s weird. I’m wondering if the ECU has to get used to not having the messed up injector ?
