I have a 2016 Civic EX. On odd occasions, I'll have a problem where I have cruise in ACC mode (I can see the four bars on the dash display) but when I hit SET at highway speed, it just beeps at me and says "ACC off". The video below shows the problem in action. Notes:
- I had been driving...
There is also the fact that there is a high degree of automation that goes into building these things as the 15 minute video from Honda showed. The robotics and tooling are one of the major factors in build quantity, and that is the same no matter were the plant is located.
Thanks for the link. Hadn't seen this yet. But I made a small discovery: select CVT instead of manual as a transmission and it adds silver to the list of available colors. That works for me as I drive on a lot of gravel and silver shows the dirt the least.
I might have at least partially answered my own question. In the official production video of the hatch, they show a blue one coming off the line that doesn't have the shark fin antenna. That would suggest a lower trim model. The wheels are also different from the white one in front of it...
Driving on all the gravel I do, this is not a rare occurence for me and my 2001 Civic.. I just keep going and the rock wears down and works its way out. Scared the crap out of me first time I heard it though: it's loud!
If it weren't for all the road noise in the Mazda, I'd have bought one before the 10th gens came out. But that put me off enough to see what Honda has coming in the five door hatch.
Hi folks
I'm hoping for my 2001 Civic (430,000km) to hang in there until the five door hatch comes out hopefully this fall and then decide between it and the sedan. Right now I'm going back and forth. I prefer the utility of the hatch, but I also will be putting a lot of miles on this thing...
