PRL says no. But anytime you mess with MAF housing, intake, higher flow filter etc.. you should get a tune.

Remember this: an intake without a tune will actually make your car run worse. MAF scale is one of the most important things to adjust after getting an intake.

What damage the CAT is the explosive heat generated from unburned fuel reaching the CAT. Running richer may mean more unburned fuel reaching the CAT.

Get the Varis front lip if you are not going to track, and just need it for looks.

A proper tune is also important especially if job gonna wrap a catted DP. Any excess fuel into a catted DP that’s wrapped could indeed create too much heat.

Much thanks for the reply. My main concern is the blanket would retain too much heat for the Rv6 cat. I understand that cats need heat to run, but would a blanket retain too much heat.

I was thinking of installing the heat blanket on my RV6 catted DP. But a bit concerned that too much retained heat might shorten the life of the high flow cat.
