Not necessarily. Some have reported successful removal without breakage, while others have said they had to break the emblem to remove it. I think it depends on how careful and patient you are.
It feels good to be back on the boards! I've been occupied with work, school, and life. So busy, in fact, that I haven't made any modifications to my car in over a month!
Desiree is doing well! Still wash her weekly and baby her. She's almost at 3000 miles, approaching her first oil change...
Just be aware that dusters scratch the paint... especially on cars like ours, which have soft paint to begin with. The paint always needs to be lubricated in order to wipe off dust and dirt safely without causing too many scratches.
No, you do not. You can use the stock, amber halogen ones that came with your car. Just swap the side markers, but use the same bulbs.
Other members (including myself) prefer LEDs, because they're brighter.
Hahaha. No lie--that's exactly how I think, too, when I drive! No one will notice the difference [except, perhaps other '16 civic owners] but me, but that's all that matters!
Great minds think alike, my friend.
Woohoo! Congratulations, bro! Feels good to be rollin' with a fully kitted LED car, right? Now, your lights are brighter, they consume less power, will last longer, and activate 200 milliseconds faster than halogens!
Be careful. Fakes are supposed to look like genuine items and will fool people with untrained eyes.
Here's a great video demonstrating key differences.
I have the sedan, which explains it. Haha.
By the way, the link you shared takes me to a seller that sells fake emblems. How do I know? Two red flags: the prices are low, and the seller also carries blue and black emblems, which don't exist. JDM emblems only come in red. There's a black one...
Can you share the link to the emblems you purchased, please?
Also, how did you access the pins for the rear emblem? When I went under the trunk liner, I didn't see them at all.
Here's a video of my attempt:
Thanks so much, man! And great name for your car! It really does sound like they're twins because of how similar their names sound! Haha.
Definitely loving the tint, dude. The car is a lot cooler during the day, and at night the glare from headlights is dramatically reduced. So glad I decided...
Yes, the interior lights are fairly easy to replace with LEDs. As mentioned, just be patient, and if you want to be extra careful so as not to scratch/tear the upholstery, use a plastic knife to pop open the plastic covers.
Here's another option for the interior LEDs:

Much appreciated, man! :)
Thanks so much! I appreciate the compliments. :)
For this shot I used my 85mm f/1.2 paired with the 5D III.
Hope you're able to get images with better reflections next time! Be sure to share them, too, please!
