Thanks for taking the time to look at it. I did another one today, but I noticed that when I floor it, my ltft goes back to around -6 or so. Seeing as my AFR is good, I think I just need to punch it more haha.
30k on Phearable’s 2.5, I’ve been running on map 3 the past 3k miles or so. E30 50% of the time, 92oct the other 50%. Adjusting the clutch pedal was enough to get the lockout to go away, and I think putting inserts into my type R motor mount helped also. Starting to get mildly concerned about...
Ya I unplugged that shit on mine about 1 week in. It would’ve been nice to have the option in the infotainment, but it’s pretty easy to get to the plug.
Honda sensing can be a massive pain in the ass and I wish the 2020s had a way to disable it entirely. My car has started phantom braking and the dealerships can’t figure out why despite recalibrating it. Now I can’t trust the lane keep, active cruise control or emergency stop. If I forget to...
Latest update, I’m back on phearable’s 2.5 since I’ve found a semi-close ethanol station. Total time on the 2.5 tune is about 25k, still on map 2 99% of the time though. I ran map 3 for a few days recently and noticed I’m having some high rpm lockout on it, I’m still running the unmodified cmc...
No, I wouldn’t buy it again. I’ve run into software gremlins that I’m tired of dealing with, and more importantly, no matter what performance tweaks I make to the car it just never feels quite the way I want it to. It’s a good car, it just doesn’t do it for me.
I’m glad you got it squared for yourself. Makes me a little tempted try disabling rev hang again. From what I remember my main annoyance was when going off and then back on the throttle at highish rpm. Staying in gear for a higher speed turn was a jerk-fest. I might give it another go.
No problem. There isn’t all that much written about the 2020 quirks so I’m glad to contribute what I can.
That’s correct, you’ll need to check the disable rev hang box in the tune itself for the main button to make a difference.
For me, the lighter flywheel made enough of a difference that...
Another update, just under 20k miles on Phearable’s 2.5, always e30-e35. No issues to report, and I’m very glad I did the retrofit clutch. Makes driving this car much more enjoyable for me. I just moved to a place with no ethanol pumps nearby, so I’ll be back on Phearable’s 1.5 for the...
It could be a few things.
Do you a have a 2020? If so, Phearable leaves revhang enabled by default in the tune, so you’ll have to uncheck that box and reflash if so. If you do have a 2020 I would leave it enabled and try to remove it with the new throttle sensitivity option.
On a cold start...
I noticed that under the throttle response drop down, it now has Improved throttle response w/reduced revhang. Is this a new development, or did I just miss the memo? Will this help even if we have to leave rev hang enabled to prevent jerking on the 2020 models?
Just a quick update. I’ve just hit 10,000 miles on Phearable’s 2.5 tune. I still prefer map 2, and always run E30-E35. Getting some slight clutch slip on map 2 now, CTR retrofit is getting installed this week. No other issues to report. QOL-wise, having to blend every tank is getting a little...
