  1. What this dealer wanted for an FL5!

Ray Shefska is a character! Love the CarEdge podcasts!
  2. Sway bar creaking like crazy

If you're talking about the Karcepts bar, you can try adjusting the end kinks again. Just a turn or two can eliminate the binding. Mine rarely makes any noise.

Interesting! I have the exact same setup and mine is quiet. Maybe adjust the length of the rod-ends just a tad?
  4. Need help desperately, car won't start after swapping car battery and doing some work.

This is going to sound really stupid! Lock your car, then open it with the key in the driver's doors slot. On some cars that resets the immobolizer. There is a key in your FOB.
  5. Track Day: Changing the tires

I also use these to keep the car interior clean. Tire Duffels
  6. Track Day: Changing the tires

All good advice above. I also torque my wheels (soft torque?) with the car up in the air to ensure the wheel is fully seated to the hub. Then torque again once on the ground. I snapped a stud that was damaged when a wheel wasn't fully seated. Lift up each side and switch two wheels as shown...

Congratulations on the snag of the FL5!
  8. D-Street Type R AutoX info sharing

A little surprised, but okay. It will probably default back to DS in a few years. Thanks for sharing this information.
  9. D-Street Type R AutoX info sharing

Maybe not! With the new GR86, they may place the FL5 in DS. We will just have to wait and see.
  10. What this dealer wanted for an FL5!

We all complain about ADM on low volume high demand cars. As we should! We also blame the dealers for this! One thing we are missing is that if the dealer sells a high demand car at MSRP, who is to stop the buyer from 'flipping' for a profit? That buyer has no dealer overhead to pay. This...
  11. Modifications for turning Si into cornering monster.

If you are planning to do autocross or track days, just get the tires you are planning on. Spend your money on seat time and see what class is best for you. In SCCA street class the mods are tires and rear swaybar. The fast guys are running the Karcepts rear bay. Expensive, but its the one...
  12. FL5's OEM wheel on FK8

265's fit on the FK8 with 19"x8.5" wheels and you can squeeze a t275 on htem if you can find someone do do it. If I could run those 9.5" in SCCA stock class, I would at least go with 275's.
  13. So many people find out the hard way what this car can do -

Don't forget about roundabouts. Correction, I mean chicanes!;)
  14. 2020 Civic Type R Reviews Compilation

We know the FK8 is a bit slow on launch, but.......... Throttle House FK8 vs GR Corolla vs Elantra N
  15. D-Street Type R AutoX info sharing

I guessing the FL5 will land in B Street too. The wheels are 1 inch wider. That's a huge advantage!
  16. D-Street Type R AutoX info sharing

That final drive on the FL5 should be an improvement. The FK8 takes a soft touch to keep the wheels from spinning too much on launch. I have a 2022 Si and the new chassis is a big improvement over my FK8. Mark Daddio is a multi-time Solo II National Champion so I'm not surprised to see him...

It's more than just experience with Alex. He has some inner Zen that just knows how fast he can go and it's way more than the rest of us!

Blah, blah, blah! I still expect you to kick my @$$ this Sunday at Bristol. It will be fun though!
  19. Note to Honda N.A.

A stiffer rear bar really, really helps. I've added the Karcepts rear bar on my 2019 CTR and it is fantastic for autocross. No, the stock bar is not for sale. There is a reason Honda will not do this. Here is a story about that. In 1985 Toyota introduced the MR2. Praised for great handling...
  20. Total brake failure on my 2018 SI Coupe. Looking for any info on how this could have happened, or anyone with similar experience.

Glad you are okay! It is normal to second guess how we cold have prevented something like this. It sounds to me like you reacted as good as anyone in this situation. You were just passing someone and another car decided to hit their brakes while in the left lane. Good grief, please don't...
