Good point. To be honest, you can't really tell whats missing. If you never saw me do my setup and you sat in my car you'd never known which frequencies were missing.
Well it works as a dash cam should.
Downside is if recording both front and rear at the same time the frame per second (fps) is down to 30 instead of 60.
This is a general guide that will assist anyone to run their power cable wire through the firewall.
It's more focused towards the Hatchback group after we've passed through the firewall.
No actual wires were installed during this video, but it should be straight to the point.
I honestly do...
Are you planning to upgrade all the tweeters and speakers?
From what you mentioned it seems like you just wanted to add Bass as mentioned above.
Is this a budget build?
Looking forward to see how it comes out.
I have a complete video guide on my installation, but I have a Hatch Sport.
I didn't want to cut any oem wires.
Using the original wires going to the speakers is a bad option. They are too small for my liking.
You have a good idea as well.
I ran it underneath the vehicle. I'm going to get a lot of crap about it, but it doesn't rattle at all. Working on the vid.
I ran 2 0 AWG ground cable from the front to the rear. Some may say this is pointless, but its your build and you build it like how you want it. You can also ground your...
Cool. I'll work on a video where I made my own wire harness. I didn't want to cut into my factory harness so I did a DIY harness. I'm missing the part numbers I used on my current list. I'll see if I can find those numbers and update my list later today.
@paul aka quality_sound. I think we need to work on some type of general budget build list. Requirements, recommended, not needed but great to have type of list so it can be stickied for the rest of the forum members.
1. Some amps take in high level inputs some don't. Great point. You should never put a high level signal through RCA inputs on an amp. High level input may put out higher voltage up to 8-9V than most amps should take it. Most amps accept 3-5V input through the RCA inputs. Anyone installing an...
I'm still half asleep so if anything doesn't make sense. . .point it out. =)
MDF wood was a suggestion for the door panels, I actually bought plastic trims. Since it may be used as a starting template I'll revise my list above. Thanks.
We don't get much moisture out here in Sunny o Southern...
Thanks for the welding wire link.
I went with the 3-way in the rear because Honda has a trim where you can install a 3.5 inch speaker. I found out anything aftermarket wont fit. Have plans to do come fabrication since I already bought the rear trim from the Hatch Sport Touring.
If you did the install without a negative terminal block then you're fine. Its only if you had other accessories and wanted to have a clean looking system.
That's cool that your amp allowed you to use the other channels to run the sub channels. How about a demo video?
Thanks for you input on...
