Funny thing is my dad has had 6 Hondas if I am not mistaken. Only issue was a loose screw in the roof and a misaligned bumper. Both corrected fast. Not going to buy a Honda again myself even if I was unlucky. I just think of workshops and issues whenever I see the H-badge. Perhaps it will fade...
I liked the interior and paint when I bought it. Sometimes things start to develop after a while. Sure I guess it's a budget car. I still think it's fun to drive though.
No I bought the car brand new. I will add to the list:
Fuel pump replaced (recall)
Creaky and rattling interior
The fabric on the doors etc. are horrible and cheap.
The steeringwheel buttons for volume etc. are the worst I have tried.
Rain sensor seems to have mind of its own. Not uncommon on...
In a year of ownership the following things has gone wrong with workshop fix behind:
Front brake discs (exchanged discs)
Forward facing parking sensors (exchanged front grill)
Handsfree microphone (exchanged)
Tires or rims caused vibrations (exchanged entire wheels)
Wheel alignment wrong...
So the car is diagnosed. According to Honda this is a certain pipe that causes this noise in combination with the new gas that was introduced 2 years ago due to environmental laws. So they switched out the pipe. So if you have this "sonar"-like sound it is likely the same issue.
Mine doesn't do the exact sound like that but it sort of chirps to when on. Car is almost brand new. But I have also concluded it comes from the AC. Very annoying. Got a time at the dealers next monday.
Sure. I have had enough cars to know it should not sound like that. You can affect it with the throttle also. I have been there enough times to know that even if they didn't find anything they would not charge me.
Yeah, it does go silent when the AC is turned off. That's how I found out where the noise came from. The car is under warranty so it won't cost me anything. Don't like my new car being taken apart though but not much I can do. To me it sound like either a bearing or something rubbing against...
Ok here is the file. Listen from about 17 seconds and forward. The noise is not affected by if the car is cold or hot. It is as I said affected by revs but not following them. Turning the fan or AC on or off does not affect it at all. More like the torque is doing something to it. Thanks for...
Well I got a pretty much brand new Civic 2018 1.5t sport that makes a very off sound on idle now and then. Sounds like a submarine sonar sort of. Yes I know that is a weird description . When you give it some gas you can hear the noise become steady or just change interval. It does not however...
