  1. So I'm I just to old to not know this??

Now to just be able to turn of the BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP you get when closing the door on a car that is running, it would make winters much less annoying.
  2. Handling in the snow

To echo what has been said. The stock Goodyear all seasons are pretty much garbage hot, cold, rain or snow.
  3. I Don’t Like My 2020 Civic Si Coupe

I agree with this. I miss my 235i every day. Make no mistake the Si would run rings around it on a shorter circuit, but the Si just doesn't provide the IT factor to me. The Si is what I call an aggressively competent car, there is very little that it does wrong, most everything it does right...
  4. My girlfriend hates my Si and I understand why

I don't think the Si has a stiff ride at all ? My wife prefers the Si to my old 235 because the clutch pedal is lighter, with a shorter throw and both the ride height and seat height are higher.
  5. How is SI in the snow without snow tires.

In NJ you will be fine. The Goodyears in WNY were tragic in the snow in my opinion. I had just traded a car with snow tires on it though which does provide a big contrast. Will need to start shopping for cheapo 17" wheels soon to mount the snows back on.
  6. How often do you get the urge to impulsively trade/sell your Si

Getting a lease with Honda means that even if I think about it, Honda keeps my self control in check as they don't allow lease transfers. ?
  7. Is the power on the 10th gen Civic SI enough?

Having gone from M235i to Si, the power is okay. You have enough that you can overtake on the highway easily, merge easily etc. It's not going to be enough power where at close to red line you are feeling like you are going fast however. The 235 pulls from 1800rpm to 7000rpm, the turbo starts to...
  8. Bruh.. who broke their shifter link? LMAO

That first gear lock out is a bitch ?
  9. What Kind Of Security Have You done To Your Car!

Nothing at all, I just make sure it's locked and the windows are shut. Additional security measures on modern cars have always seemed like more trouble than it is worth. My insurance is up to date and if it gets stolen then I will just end up replacing it. If it was old, rare or both my response...
  10. What did you cross-shop and are you happy that you went with the Si?

Years ago I owned a MKV GTI and did multiple track days with it so I know that FWD cars can still be a lot of fun. The Si easily out handles the M235i due to having half the engine up front and weighing 600lb less, it just doesn't tick the emotional buttons like the BMW did. I'll still keep it...
  11. 2020 Civic Si Matte Black Rims

Yep, they clean up without a problem. Even the Chemical Guys tyre shine that I use doesn't mark them.
  12. 2020 Civic Si Matte Black Rims

I just use the same think I use to wash the car with, the same as I have done with every car I have owned. Right now I am using Chemical Guys citrus wash. I did buy a soft bristled brush a couple of years back to clean the wheels so I didn't cross contaminate anything with brake dust. Plus it...
  13. What did you cross-shop and are you happy that you went with the Si?

I traded out of an M235i to lower my monthly payment and to get a lease that I can hand back at end of term as I will be moving internationally. I cross shopped to an Accord 2.0T 6MT but the one they had on the lot had 70 miles on it, and I got the distinct impression that they had used it as...
  14. What’s your most loved/hated thing about your Si?

Turn in is awesome. Heavy flywheel + ECU programming makes the throttle feel like mashed potato and dulls the driving experience tremendously.
  15. Civic Si Tires

Get full snow tyres. I ran a set of Conti's on my previous car (M235i) and never got stuck once. Someone bought the wheels from them so now I'm just vaguely looking for a cheapo set of 17" wheels to mount them on for this year. I had PSS as my summer tyre and they did quite well in the cold...
  16. Kansas Acuity throttle pedal spacer for sale

    Sent you a PM.
  17. Rice Cooker

No love for arborio rice? You can't make a risotto with orzo.
  18. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Many states require an orange reflector at the front and a red one at the rear, not just illuminated red, they must work without a light source.
