This is 100% BS regarding the transmission. The transmission, clutch, flywheel, and everything related to the transmission are the same from the FK2 all the way up to the Limited Edition. Go look at the PNs if you don't believe me. The gear grind is from poor driving, not a design issue. As...
Does anyone know the wheel specs for the new FL5 Type R? I know they are 19x9.5, but I can’t find the offset.
I’m curious if the OEM FL5 wheels on OEM 265/30/19 rubber will fit the FK8.
So far the proportions of the car look off in pictures for me. Specifically the front looks weird and long while the side profile kind of resembles a CUV. However, if it looks good in person I will likely trade my FK8 that's low miles and paid off for an FL5. I'd like to think dealers would...
Place painter's tape around the outer edges of the grills. Insert your fingers or trim tool into the outer top hole/vent pressing inwards when you feel the clip. As the top clip releases itself the two others on the outside of the grills should follow. When you remove the grill's outer...
It’s the ADS unit that controls the active suspension and should plug in.
2017 - 2019 PN: 39381-TGH-A01
2020 - 2021 non-LE PN: 39381-TGH-A11
I believe you’d be the first to execute this swap so report back.
Why would it be $5k and what did you base your numbers on because the shocks are the same and the difference is a $350 control module that’s plug and play???
I'm curious to see what it doesn't have or if it's cancelled. Toyota has slashed global production by 40%. GM and Ford have both shut down several plants. GM has already announced discontinuation of all I6 diesels due to inability to obtain chips for fuel management along with features from...
There isn't a FK8 specific service manual, its combined with all of the other trims and there's bullets for Si and R specific items.

Im sure you can however the LE comes with different spring rates so I doubt handling would be ideal. The MY20+ unit would probably be a better swap if it's possible but even then there's still different bushings, trailing arms, and low friction ball joints so it still might not be as composed...
You're incorrect on the headlights. The Type R didn't receive the updated headlights and the part numbers reflect this. The headlight PNs are the same for 2017 - 2021. The new headlights only apply the lower trims and Si.
