The ILX DCT should be a no brainer for the Civic Si auto.
If this is true that the auto Civic Si will have CVT instead of DCT, then I'm really confused and frustrated by some of Honda's decisions.

Every time I've said what you said this in these forums, I get the following responses:
"It's no big deal. The average consumer can't tell the difference between CVT and DCT."

By the way, based on Honda's previous release history with the Si, precisely when should we expect to see the 10th generation Civic Si at dealerships? Is it next Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter in 2016?
This is unfortunately true. The "casual car buyer" is most likely ignorant of the superior responsiveness of a DCT over a CVT and will therefore happily purchase a Civic with CVT.

No. I am referring to the "Much Worse than Average" mechanical (not technological) reliability ratings that have historically been given by consumerreports.org for similar Ford and VW vehicles compared to similar Honda and Mazda vehicles.
