  1. It's Finally Here! The Wunderladen Racing Big Brake Kit!

I think I may try the SR-11 compound after I use up my RP-1. Interested in hearing how you like them!
  2. Si Track Suspension

Hold my beer, it gets even stranger! It sounds like even the HPD diff that was used in the TCA Civic "Si" race car is built for non-Si axles: So I'm pretty sure there are currently precisely 0 options unless you swap your final drive and axle/half shaft
  3. Si Track Suspension

Not to thread jack, but have you found an aftermarket LSD that is specifically designed for the Si trans? My understanding is that the final drive bolt pattern and output spline count for the Si LSD is different than that of the non-Si models. From another thread: I saw a FB post where...
  4. What Turbo? Stay Stock, W1 BB, GC, or Others?

Area under the HP curve is what you care about for acceleration. So yes the bigger turbos have almost no compromises in those applications where you can more exclusively stay in the top of the RPM range, i.e. how you cite drag and roll "racing". It will certainly be difficult to find something...
  5. Si Track Suspension

I haven't purchased from redshift yet, but it sounds like you can just set up a time to talk with them and they will be able to point you in the right direction based on your needs/goals. I'm definitely interested in what you learn, though!
  6. Alignment issues:

How long have you had this car? Starting was negative camber in the front... Zero toe in the rear.... Almost looks like a track alignment. For the front: Do you have stock lower ball joints? Or adjustable ball joints? Picture would help if you're not sure. Is your strut tophat alignment pin...
  7. RPF1 17x9 +45 not clearing SI brakes (need help)

Just FYI, front extended studs on the Si (and FK7, apparently?) are a moderate PITA because the studs don't clear the knuckle with the hub installed on the car. So you have to remove the hub from the vehicle, link Rear studs are easy, though 👍
  8. Time for an Autel Upgrade

+1 for autel ap200. I'm extremely satisfied for the price point. I use it for rear caliper maintenance mode every time I dig in to the rear brakes (which I will admit has been more often than I expected)
  9. ► APEX Wheels | Survey For New Wheel Designs, Fitments, & Finishes

@86salmon @Ducota make sure you fill out the survey. I just did, and specified 5x114.3. I'm running NC mx-5 wheels in 5x114.3 on my Si. And the NC chassis is one of the new SCCA "club spec" cars. So who knows, maybe we will get lucky "soon" ™️
  10. DIY: Oil temperature sensor

For the 1.5l in specific, I believe the pan area you might tap in to is indicated in this post, but I have not seen it validated quite yet. Other options I know of for oil pressure sensor locations are both on filter standoffs for oil cooler kits: MAP oil cooler kit (link) Sirimoto oil cooler...
  11. FK7 Time Attack/Daily Driver and NEW Civic X Products

*phew* this thread just got spicy 🥵🔥🌶️ This is going to be quite the return after the lows of last year, looking forward to it!
  12. Drivermod Dadmobile Daily Si Journal

Yes, I'm definitely bracing to "re-learn" how to drive after I turn VSA full-off (pedal dance). Did you notice a big difference between just "VSA off" (pressing the button) and full-off with the pedal dance?
  13. Drivermod Dadmobile Daily Si Journal

Just chugging along in winter/daily mode, but figured I would drop an update on a couple minor things. I don't have any major upgrades planned before track season hits this year. I'll need some new tires early in the year and probably brake pads later on. But I'm planning on doing a bunch of...
  14. Request- How/where to install an oil temp sensor on 1.5t

Old thread, but just figured I would link my guide in case someone finds their way here (as I once did). DIY: Oil temperature sensor
  15. DIY: Oil temperature sensor

Here is a DIY write up for oil temp sensor + gauge install. There are a couple more pictures I might have liked to add here, but this should give anyone who is interested a good overview, and then feel free to ask questions. This thread should be applicable to any 10th gen civic where a...
  16. Brake fluid change procedure questions

Agreed on running the pressure bleeder dry being the move if you have one. If you're not bleeding frequently, though (I'm looking at you track people...), then the buddy method is probably more economical. But for anyone getting the CTA master cylinder adapter (recommended, works great) I...
  17. Civic Si Track Pad Options?

Hey, welcome back @teders I'm fairly certain I was able to pad fade a set of powerstop track day front pads on my very first track day at stock power levels. Probably OK for someone driving timidly for their first time out, but I think it's likely you'll be disappointed. Powerstop might be...
  18. Extended Studs Fk7

I had intended to do extended front studs on my Si after installing a BBK, but fortunately found this thread before I got in to it and realized that fronts are not easy to pop out with hubs installed like the rears. So the sane/reasonable part of me says "just wait until you're ready for front...
  19. Si Track Pads by Paragon!

This is great, appreciate the Si love 👍 Definitely very limited options for the stock stock Si caliper, so it's awesome to see some more support. There is a lot of trial&error, figuring out what you like, and figuring out what works for your driving style. So good on all involved for making...
  20. Si Track Suspension

After stalking the "8th/9th Gen Official Road Race/AutoX" group on FB, I've decided I'm going to approach my track-use suspension like I approached brakes--with consumables cost in mind. I recently came across a post that was eye opening on that group. The post talks about coilover rebuild...
