  1. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Should we include my car as part of tuning device failure? Obviously KTuner somehow caused a lot of problems with my car. My car is not stock but stock calibration works perfectly and drive way better than KTuner.
  2. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

No problem buddy! Good thing is stock ECU calibration showed no issue so far. I missed is the ability to properly maximizing by engine mods and the option to turn off artificial knock control rise though.
  3. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

This is unfortunately part of my last updates. I have all of my additional engine mods installed in my car. I'm still using custom big turbo, Rev9 intercooler, Maxpeedingrods i-beam connecting rod, and Traum Pistons. However, I'm no longer using KTuner to tune my ECU. Basically, I'm using...
  4. Ktuner V1.2 Locking To/Unlocking From An ECU and recovering the ECU unit

When you unlock KTuner device from your ECU, KTuner software will detect the KTuner device is not locked to registered ECU and no valid ECU ID is detected. KTuner software only give user access when valid ECU ID is identified. Try to lock the ECU to your car again, plug KTuner unit to your PC...
  5. Low Boost Pressure

@fcrunner . Has @KTuner provided solutions to your tps.cmd issue?
  6. Low Boost Pressure

Just for fun. Attached csv tunerview of tunes created using KTuner factory equivalent calibration as base vs. factory (1 August 2023 log). I also include tunerview log table showing 99% tps.cmd.
  7. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I think we should continue this thread. I've been trying to keep my tuning journey updated as consistent as I could. I even plan to update this thread on my decision whether I revert back to factory turbo & facfory tune because of KTuner lack of support & no willingness to fix TPS.CMD issue...
  8. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

General view is that conservative tune at lower RPM & gradually build power up top is safer for CVT. I didn't do any of mods you mentioned because the turbo is bigger than stock but equivalent to Spoon turbo. You may want to seek advise from pro tuners if you plan to use bigger turbo from...
  9. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I went to 2 mechanics who are also pro tuners familiar with L15B7. They checked if there were mechanical issue & they didn't find any mechanical issue. Both of them owned dyno facility and I even paid the 2 tuners to do dyno analysis. We did 3 runs, factory, KTuner OTS (21 PSI), and custom...
  10. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Here's my update for half of 2023. Update: Car : Honda Civic Hatchback Type E CVT Total tuned time: 42 months Total tune mileage: 14,147 miles Tuning device: KTuner V1.2, previously Hondata Flashpro Tunes used: custom self-tune for my own custom big turbo. (Previous Tunes: Basemap +3psi...
  11. Low Boost Pressure

Yeah. I’m thinking of flashing back to stock & have local tuner to tune the car using their reflash tool. I regret switching from Hondata to KTuner.
  12. Low Boost Pressure

That was exactly what I saw this morning when I tested my car. No problem getting 100% tps.cmd when resetting to stock though. I guess the best thing now is switch back to stock & just be happy with stock setting.
  13. Low Boost Pressure

Hi there. Have you tested this?
  14. Low Boost Pressure

EWG seems normal when eco mode is turned off but TPS.cmd didn't hit 100%, which affects TC target and TC pressure.
  15. Low Boost Pressure

Thanks for testing the eco mode on started dual target 21 psi ots map from KTuner. EWG doesn't seems to be an issue with eco mode because the engine seems to follow the calibration within tolerance. I'd suggest you copying boost target from normal boost map to eco boost map and see if you can...
  16. Low Boost Pressure

I also experienced the same issue with you. The problem came up after Honda updated my ECU firmware to adjust oil health status monitoring. I contacted KTuner through email and received unsatisfactory response. KTuner stated there was no change affecting my ECU code in KTuner software and KTuner...
  17. Low Boost Pressure

5AG-P83 ECU also has no STFT at WOT. Seems like the fuel goes open loop during WOT.
  18. CAPTS KTuner Custom Tunes, Turbo, BTK, Engine, GB & Gear Set

Sorry, I didn't see note if the owner use catless downpipe or stock. Did the owner still use stock downpipe/frontpipe? The dyno sheet showed power curve similar like other dyno sheets from cars with S3 turbocharger that you tune. I'm thinking about swapping back my stock downpipe and...
  19. Dyno results

I agree with gtman that the figure is too high for non-SI. My car was making around 175 bhp on Dastek dyno and I got around 200 bhp using +6 PSI Flashpro ots tune. If your car is a CVT with paddle shifter, you need to ask your dyno operator to set simulated CVT gear at third or fourth gear. You...
  20. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Here's my annual update. Update: Car : Honda Civic Hatchback Type E CVT Total tuned time: 37 months Total tune mileage: 12,347 miles Tuning device: KTuner V1.2, previously Hondata Flashpro Tunes used: custom self-tune for my own custom big turbo. (Previous Tunes: Basemap +3psi Hondata tune...
