The salesman told me that you can get up to an additional 4 MPG with ECON mode on.
You also lose 12 horsepower (this was the EX I tested. When I tested the Touring at a different dealership I didn't get an accurate answer)
I test drove the Touring today. I didn't wind it out but I couldn't tell much of a difference between the base engine and the turbo. Probably because I drove it carefully.
That said, I really do like this car.
I'm torn between a pre-owned 3 Series (buying a CarMax warranty) or the new Civic.
All the while, I really should keep my current car (2010 Fusion SEL) because there's 55k miles on it, I just bought winter tires for it last year and it has been bulletproof so far. What makes me want a Civic...
I test drove the EX today. I really liked it but was disappointed there wasn't a Touring or even an EX-T in stock. Nevertheless I liked the ride quality and the handling. The car feels like a Go-Kart just like the Mazda 3. Very direct steering. Even the 2.0L had plenty of get up and go compared...
I test drove an Accord V6 a few weeks ago and I enjoyed it. Steering was more direct than my Fusion and the handling felt more "stiff" while having a compliant ride.
That said, the Civic Touring being $8k less than an Accord Touring along with being 700 lbs lighter really makes the Civic a...
I test drove a Mazda 3 S Grand Touring and I loved it except for the NVH. Coming from a 2010 Fusion the NVH would have been a huge step back because the road noise is very, very apparent in the 3. Fusion is pretty whisper quiet on the highway.
I didn't read enough about NVH in the reviews that...
Dimensions are pretty similar to a 4 Series Gran Coupe.

Yes, rationalizing saving money and getting the new Civic vs the Bimmer I've wanted for the last 3 years.
Oh I'm in no rush. In a perfect world I would buy a 2016 on clearance when the 2017's are ready.
And I agree with the 320i comment. I hope the hype is legit.
Looks like EX-L w/ Nav doesn't come with an option for Honda Sensing. Makes sense because at that point it's absolutely worth it to pay the extra $800 for everything the Touring offers (what EX-L w/ Nav and Honda Sensing would likely cost).
The general rule of thumb, at least when buying a 3...
If the Si doesn't come with an auto option or a Touring trim, then I'll go standard Touring. In it for the sportiness and amenities but I'm not giving up the luxury feel.
That pricing is unbelievable and under what I expected.
Looking forward to negotiating a good price when the time is right on a Touring. That pretty much seals it if the reviews hold to what the hype says...and it's a good chunk less than the Accord.
I'm not concerned about the CVT. My dad has a 2011 Maxima and the CVT feels very responsive in that configuration. The Accord CVT is considered one of the best CVTs on the market and it's mated to a NA 4 cylinder. I imagine the CVT will give Maxima-like throttle response in a Turbo 4.
We've...
I'm predicting it bests the 320i's 7.1 second time, which, to me, is the benchmark of success.
I'm very curious to know how much torque it has considering the Golf has 170 HP and 200 lbs/ft of torque.
Cross shopping because I want a fuel efficient fun to drive sporty sedan. Civic would have never been on my list until what I've read about the new one...and people have said in the past that the Accord is the "practical" sporty sedan. If Civic really is what its cracked up to be (rivaling the...
