But what wheels do you guys recommend for a 2020 civic si? Iām looking specifically for something lighter than stock for better performance. Ideally I donāt want to kill the bank, but Iām able to afford non-reps lol. Iām looking to stay within stock size and offset to ensure good fit.
Thanks all
The infotainment is AWFUL and we get insult added to injury by the fact that we canāt upgrade to a better system without losing a ton of functionality.
Like many others have said, this is a terrible survey.
Most people will only have owned a single year model of the si. So how can they know which year is best?
you should have had a survey with options like, I own a x model year and am or am not satisfied. That would give you MUCH better data.
This is a bad poll. There should be a āno problems so farā option.
I have a stock 2020 with 40k miles. My clutch has been fine. From what Iāve seen, clutch failures are rather uncommon at stock power. If you donāt plan to mod, then I wouldnāt worry about it.
Also Iād just listen to gtmanās...
If the US got the canadian model I would probably trade my 2020 si for an 11th gen. It seems like Honda got the engine tuning right with the 11th, and the interior is so much nicer than the 10th.
But then again, it also seems like just doing a few engine mods to a 10 gen will get you the same...
Realistically no one is going to feel a 5hp difference. Although the new si will be heavier. The standard civic hasnāt been doing well in tests so far in the sense that it has been slower than the x gen, so it does stand to reason that the xi si will be a bit slower.
I still like it though ?āāļø...
My main gripe is comfort. The seats are not as comfortable as I would have liked, and the car is so low to the ground that it is hard to get in and out of. I could deal with the latter if the seats were a bit better. I note that I am picky because I have chronic back pain issues which didn't...
I needed to buy a new dd. I was looking at civics and asked the sales person if they had any MT cars on the lot. They said "oh we have one!" and had me test drive a brand new 2020 si. I fell in love with how it drove, and it was only 3k over my original budget so I bought it. Over one year later...
Nevada is at a decently high elevation, so lower octane is fine since the air is less dense. It's common for high elevation states to only carry 91 at the pumps. I live at high elevation and we only have 91.
I'd take the money and run.
Also you might have issues using a sport engine in an si. Im not sure that a sport engine ecu would be compatible with the si's electronics, so it might not be a bolt in. The MAFs for those two engines (si vs sport) are different for one, and second i dont know if a...
You can get away with a set of decent all seasons and some tire chains. If you're going up in the mountains alot, nothing beats dedicated winter tires, but if you really cant have a second set of wheel get some all seasons which have good snow performance + some tire chains. The chains are a...
I did fix it. It turns out that I got some soda in there which dried and got sticky. I took apart the console, cleaned it up, and now the button no longer sticks.
The all seasons are ok for snow, but not heavy snow. Personally I just bought a set of wheels+ snow tires for the winter. It's the safe way to go if you live in a snowy/icy place.
With my winter wheels and tires I never have problems with the handling. the only issue is ground clearance when...
I have black residue on the tip of my exhaust. I think that is normal. My car is stock, and isn't throwing any engine codes, so I just assumed that it was normal. I believe that it's just unburnt fuel that gets carbonized and then deposits on the exhaust tip.
Don't bother with the sport. Go SI. My SI is my DD, it gets awesome gas mileage, is comfortable and easy to drive, and has good performance. SI all the way, don't even bother test driving the sport.
