I have lots of front camber but left the rear alone at about -2 degrees. Even with that, my tire wear indicates I need more rear camber but doing that is only going to increase rear grip and make the car understeer more. That is why I have installed a stiffer rear sway bar for this season...
Just became aware of this kit. 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) Radiator Ducting Kit – Jackson Racing . Anyone have experience with it? Does it work? Seems like a good idea but pretty pricey for some bent sheet metal.
Funny, I just looked at a video on replacing the radiator in an FL5 and it clearly only has 1 fan visible at 6:29 and around 11:26 and 14:50. Am I missing something?

Are you suggesting that the OEM wheel tire package weighs 200 lb more than other wheel/tire packages? The main issue with the heavy FK8 OEM wheels is that they need to be strong to deal with the aesthetics of having a 20" rim and the slim sidewall. Even at that , the engineers didn't get it...
No issue with driving but wear on the inside of the R front on clockwise tracks was really bad. I ran neg 2.7 the previous year with Falken RT660s which didn't wear anywhere near as bad as the Nankings with neg 3.6-3.7 even though overall the Nankings didn't wear as much as the Falkens in all 3...
The Kumho V730 is a great choice and yes, use 18" wheels with a high offset. (Titan 7 makes 18 x 9.5" wheels with a 45 mm offset that are hubcentric for Hondas but there are others). As for camber, the issues with the aftermarket lower ball joints is that adjustments can only be made in 1...
You will be much happier with a more consistent track tire than just about anything Michelin makes. Hard to really get an idea of car limits when they are constantly changing as your regular street tires overheat. Also get some front camber in the car.
It depends on your wheel width and camber. I have Titan-7 18 x 9.5" rims and have used Hankook RS4 in 265/35, Falken RT660s at 275/35 and Nanking CRS at 275/35. I think the 275 is too wide a tire for a 9.5" rim and will be using 265 Nankings for this season. If the tire is pinched at all...
The main reason for a 20" OEM wheel and short side wall like the 245/30 is the excellent steering response. They look good as well. OTOH, they wear quickly and are subject to being easily damaged.
OTOH, 20" rims are absolutely the wrong way to go for track use. I have tracked 265 and 275/35-18...
R7s are aggressive pads and are likely at least part of your issue when cold. You might also have a sticky piston which you can checkout easily on the street
So is there any consensus re Spoon vs Magic Collar? I see the eBay listings for Magic Collars includes shipping from Thailand. How long does that take?
Also do you need the Honda subframe centering tool for these or do the collars themselves do that on installation?
With a vented hood, I can really see this helping. OTOH, the increased space in front of the turbo doesn't seem to make much difference for the FL5 i.e. it still overheats really quickly. The combination of vented hood and less radiator shroud might work well.
I have run RS4s at 265 and neg 2.8 camber, Falken 660s in 275 (they are wide 275s) with the same 2.8 camber and Nanking CRSs 275 with neg 3.6 camber all on the same 9.5 rims. I think my driving improved and actually went the fastest with the Falkens on a very fast track in a sub 100 second time...
