  1. 1 thing you hate about your 10th gen civic?

I used to drive a Gen One Accord... push start was a thing, frequently.
  2. Ever surprised by who you see driving an Si?

Black lady, middle aged, classy. I had to admire her sass, driving an Si.
  3. 3 things I hate when driving...

In Cali, on the 280, we get lollygaggers in the three left lanes, with the right lane being open, and this happens all the time. Cops pull the "speeders", and never touch the clogs in traffic. I did get pulled once for crusing in the left lane, in Arizona, 15 years ago, so at least somewhere...
  4. 1 thing you hate about your 10th gen civic?

Keep in mind, you can't push start a MT if the parking brake is dependant on battery power... come to think of it, with all the electronics in the car, I tend to doubt that push starting is any kind of an option anymore. I guess it always was a hack, anyway.
  5. 1 thing you hate about your 10th gen civic?

R Type is supposed to come in a Coupe, not a cheezy hatchback. :P
  6. Civic Sport Touring 6MT vs Si

Yes, I agree, the Civic Si Coupe, which I own, drive, and love, is a bit of an ugly duckling viewed from behind. It just looks... off. The best looking model is the Sport Hatch, hands down. But I don't need a hatchback, and the Coupe suits my needs better. Gotta mod this thing, was gunna leave...
  7. Issues with 2017 civic (just purchased)

The stock chipset is pretty weak, sometimes the software does not load. As you noticed, sometimes a reboot is in order. Oh, wait this is your CAR, I thought I was diagnosing your LAPTOP.... smh :p PS: as far as software updates are concerned, the head unit is Android, and there are / can be...
  8. My first run-in with honda dealers

Here we go again... NIJA car loans.... Wells Fargo, OFC, will give you a car loan for a car you did not buy, on the accounts that you did not open up... lulz You think you gunna rob the stage coach, the stage coach robs you. Same as it ever was. FYI, half of all corporate paper is currently...
  9. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

You gotta get some tentacle in there.
  10. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

    Ok you got me :P
  11. Civic Si Summer Tire Ordeal (rant)

There is a spare tire kit? The car should come with a lucky rabbit's foot, given what is provided by default.
  12. Civic Si Summer Tire Ordeal (rant)

Oh, the humiliation! :P Also, the summer tires suck, especially in the rain, they will slip-slide through every puddle on the freeway. At like 70mph I mean, if you slow down it's not so bad, but still. Get better tires. I can't say which ones, I am still stuck in the fitment thread looking at...
  13. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

Hmm, how to make myself understood... so, not picking any fights here, first off, just trying to communicate. The CTR is pretty blingy, you know? That wing is frikkin HUGE, especially for a streetcar. I mean, it's a hatchback that screams RACE ME, RACE ME BRO! about as loudly as any car could...
  14. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

Yes, drove the neighbours CTR, was nice, had more power than my Si, ofc. Yea, any car that makes 300hp from a 2.0 is pretty efficient, I would say. As far as Muscle cars, the old V8s were popular in the 20's and 30's, efficiency was not really an option due to the state of technology, so for...
  15. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

Aesthetic sensibilities, really. American muscle cars are big, larger cars with even larger engines, making big power to go fast, mostly for dragstrip rather than track. European cars are more refined, subtle, well engineered, if they break often it is because somebody wanted it to break...
  16. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

Rice King. King of Ricecars, the CTR is. Civic Type Rice, it's right there in the name. Seriously thou, I was gunna leave my car looking stock and go for a sleeper thing, but then I had a look a the weel/tire fitment thread, and now I am gunna rice out my Si.
  17. Crazy or cool: Spoiler

    Whoop! Rice Life
  18. Thicker Tires

More sidewall should help, maybe go a few lbs light on tire pressure, and then you get into springs and shocks, and more money. The stock tires are crud, the summer tires are even worse, tire upgrade is one of the first things you should do.
