Oh man, I am definitely interested, I already going down in May, but very tempted to make this trip as well.. 🤔.. If not this year, next year for certain.

Update to vehicle;
car is at about 42k miles now!
motor has been refreshed twice with new Rod bearings, new cam cap bearings and new oil pump from 4pistons. Old pump seized and spun a rod bearing (oil starvation on number 4 rod)
Added TR2 Cams ( personal opinion not worth it, stock cams...
Reporting back after one year with turbo
P700 is junk… quality is like P600 with issues, I have issues on top end and with less than a year use the turbo has boost leak. Turbo feels so unstable past 7k rpm and the knock is so crappy.
Losing a good 3-4psi on top end boost.
Long story short...
no it keeps opening and closing on its own, like an internal short circuit and. Just cycle on and off.
It does not stay shut to let it build any boost.
Your PRL charge pipe still available and do you have the coupler by chance or did you not have that and use just the oem one that attached to Throttle body?
Looking to see if anyone has or willing to part with their Electronic Wastegate actuator from MHI !

The dealer unfortunately does not sell this part separately from turbo
I had this same issue, but mine was constantly opening and closing like it didn’t or couldn’t adjust right!
Funny part was I got no faults for it, and so I just swapped it out with a known good WG actuator unit and we are back in business. I am on P700 fyi.

We figured out the issue, it was as suspected, the reverse effect the oil wasn’t thick enough for my build (keep in mind it is a built motor which can handle close to 800whp, although I won’t be making anywhere near there with my current turbo and fuel setup which I am ok with).

Thanks for checking and the info. But yeah that is what we first did is ask the builder of the specs for clearances and it was done over winter and didn’t pick it up til early summer, so along that time he lost the written down specs of the clearances, so now we are trying different oils, but...
what oil viscosity would you recommend to get oil pressure up.
currently seeing low oil pressure readings at idle running 5w-30.
engine is fully built (nonsleeved) running P700 turbo with the TR3 cams installed on Hondata.
we are seeing exhaust side sometimes running and other times...
bringing this topic back, curious to know what guys with fully built motors are running and upgraded turbos?
fully built as in different bearings have been used for crank and rods and the clearance tolerances have changed?
has anyone monitored their oil pressure at idle on cold startup and...
I did have it, but waiting on custom setup so I threw oem springs back on.
Right now I only have oem for FK7.
Once oem is available I’ll make a post on them.
Bumping this.. still many on list and will be adding more useful oem and aftermarket parts

Yes it can, but keep in mind if your using Hondata to tune you can only max it out to 8200rpm , anything more and you will need Motec and a built head of course even built head if you trying to get over 7800rpm.
