I went with RTX Envy which looks like a replica of the Pro Corsa. Went down to a 17" (215/50R17) for winter which just barely cleared the brake caliper on my Si and the wheel weights scraped a bit on one wheel. They weren't the thin weights though.
This is the best explanation I've seen yet. I'm going to check the free play on my Si as I've been getting some weird crunchiness going into second sometimes. Not sure if it's actually gears grinding though as it sounds like it's coming from below the shifter.
I've definately have my foot slip a bit when first starting the car. But when actually driving I've never experienced a slip. Maybe the issue is just when there's a lot of water on the shoe which then dries fairly quickly while driving. It's not enough of an issue for me to do anything about it...
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I can't shift into 5th or 6th ever when I'm stopped. Should I be worried? The car only has 3000 km on it with no modifications and ever since I bought it I've never been able to go into 5th or 6th when stopped. I've been afraid to push too hard for fear of...
Don't seat covers interfere with the side airbag deployment? That's why I've never bothered with seat covers and just use Scotchgard for stain protection.
This puts the keyfob pretty damn close to inside the car if it was in your pocket. I think we need a controlled experiment where the keyfob is in the vicinity of the gas cap and try starting it then. I'm not convinced it will allow the car to start with it that far away from the proximity sensor...
You know brake hold and anti-roll back are separate things right? The brake hold system can be turned on and off and just keeps the brakes applied when you come to a stop so you can take your foot off the brake.
I highly recommend it. I've only had mine for a few weeks but I think they match the interior better than any of the other fitted options (i.e. they don't look like cheap plastic) and they seem thick enough to not deform like the Weathertech ones. Time will tell on long term durability.
I am going to install mine on my 2019 Si in about a month but it's too early yet. It's not cold enough here on the east coast of Canada. I'll be going with Michelin X-Ice XI-3 215/50R17 on a new set of 17x7.5 RTX Envy wheels in Matte Gunmetal. I'm looking forward to seeing how these perform for...
I've been researching the various options and have decided to pull the trigger on a set of 17" x 7.5" alloys with Michelin X-Ice XI-3 215/50R17. Has nearly the same diameter as the stock setup (within 0.25%) and still a decent sidewall height (4.23") to absorb some bumps on rough winter roads.
