Finally bought a Comma 2. Much nicer to enjoy the self-driving without having to wiggle the steering wheel every 30 seconds. Sucks about the weak steering torque on tight corners though.
Month late on my yearly update 😅
I'm at 44,400 miles (so about 10k miles tuned). Still on the Phearable 1.5R. No new mods. Car running great. CVT not dead yet!
Motegi MR145 (18 X8.5 +42) and Pilot Sport AS4 (235 /40 R18)
Took a while since a rim came damaged, but finally got my wheels from discount tire installed. Hoping the lighter wheels also help reduce transmission wear in addition to the other benefits.
They feel great. Love them so far
So I am finally looking at my datalogs now. My KC easily rises when doing pulls. It's been the same for over a month. This is with 92 octane. It behaves like when I had the standard 1.5 tune so I had flashed the race again to make sure.
So here is my first pull. Spikes on the second stronger...
I bought the regular 1.5 a few days before they released the race version ?♂️
The 1.5R isn't aggressive at low RPM like the ktuner 21 with all settings max. But pulling on the highway is better. I have to train myself again from being light on the pedal with the ktuner21 to prevent wheel...
Flashed Phearable 1.5R.
The biggest difference for me in power was moving from the hot Arizona desert to the cooler PNW weather in Washington ?. My knock control now stays at .49-51 when doing pulls. Also switched to Chevron 92 up here.
The primary "pulley" of the CVT needs to immediately catch the belt with friction and cause the second pulley to move. The faster the primary pulley is moving (revving) the more stress is created in catching the belt.
You will just be counting down the times as the belt slips more and more...
I have the RV6 catted downpipe and get no check engine light using their provided defouler. The o2 error did randomly pop up after an oil change a few weeks ago- but removing the sensor, cleaning and putting it back fixed it.
Bought the Type-R brake duct hoping to bring cold air to my SRI. Still didn't seem to make a difference. If its reaching 120F now, when the weather here is 120F outside it will probably be brutal.
So I gave up and just bought the PRL Cobra race ?
Took Myxal's idea to duct some cold air into an SRI. At first I was disappointed because it would still eventually get hot. But then I realized that my peak IAT1 temps were now down like 20F.
I flashed the dual 21 and didn't get the check engine light (no codes) until the next day.
I forgot how fun the starter 21 tune was! Definitely fun in the city- kc stayed at 0.59.
Ripped it a bit on the highway and my kc jumped into the 70's. Probably because my IAT2 was in the 80s (engine bay...
