  1. Reverse gear problem

Shift into any forward gear first, then into reverse as this will line up the gears better. I had the same issue, i changed out to Acuity shifter bushing & Amsoil MTF. Goes into R every single time now without having to go into a forward gear, EVERY time!
  2. PERRIN Accelerator Pedal Relocate

Can you clarify what exactly needs to be cutoff? I have mine sitting for 2 months and i need to install it, but i just came across your post and don't want to install something that won't fit properly.
  3. Amsoil Synchromesh vs. Motul Gear 300 LS 75W-90

I went Amsoil for the MTF, Motul for the engine oil. Amsoil mad a HUGE difference, everything is smooth and i can finally go into reverse without having to go into a forward gear first...

  5. What motor oil are you Si guys using?

I bought a jug (5 quarts) of that oil from two step performance, going to load it up in the next week or 2. I heard Motul was great for these engines and i couldn't find any Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in 0w20 available
  6. NEW Part! PERRIN Rear Motor Mount Insert

Is anyone familiar with the torque #'s required to re-tighten the bolt after installing the inserts?
  7. What is with the LOUD mechanical noise Si makes at shut down?

I was under the impression it was like an oil cooler because the car has a turbo, guess i'm wrong?
  8. Amsoil Synchromesh vs. Motul Gear 300 LS 75W-90

I understand what you're saying, but the oil grades aren't that different. SAE engine & SAE gear oil use different grading system. When comparing these grading systems, both oils fall roughly within the same spec, "roughly". I'll likely go with Amosil, because i have used it in the past and have...
  9. Amsoil Synchromesh vs. Motul Gear 300 LS 75W-90

No, i bought the car used. Not knowing the previous owners driving habits and maintenance in general, i prefer replacing all fluids. This way i know exactly when the next change should be.
  10. Amsoil Synchromesh vs. Motul Gear 300 LS 75W-90

Hi, I've probably read every post on the MTF fluids between multiple forums. I've narrowed it down to Amosil Synchromesh & Motul Gear 300 LS. I'm leaning towards Motul because i feel everything from Europe is made with much higher standards. I've got the Motul engine oil on hand already and...
