2016, trunk garnish came OEM. Just install with pins and the adhesive, no need for metal stays. Trunk is the same. Use like 50lb fishing line to cut the adhesive then pry it off.
Finally bit the bullet and got red emblems, mainly to see how it would look on my cosmic blue commuter. I had swapped the grill a year ago and the silver H on the front finally fell off, prompting me to replace. Ordered from Honda Parts Florida. Great price and quick shipping on OEM emblems...
Jesus you rolled in 6k negative equity?! Gonna be tough to get out from under that unless you plan to keep and pay the car off. Negative equity sucks and is like a snowball effect.
Saw this craziness at DarCars Honda in Bowie, MD while getting my oil changed. Guy asked me if I was interested in a trade, my reply "not with that ridiculous mark-up on a vehicle which will sell at or below MSRP at the end of the year" and I walked away.
Have had the same problems on mine man. No amount of claying workes. Going to try Scratch X at the recommendation of a fellow member. I sealed it and everything, just my long commute multiple days in a row takes its toll. If you find something that works let me know!
I have not tried compounding, as I don't have a DA or rotary polisher... I did protect the grill as well, just kinda surprised I am having so much trouble with it because my buddies car who has black factory grill comes clean every wash.
Anyone else have the RS grill and find that bug etching is a major problem with it regardless of wash routine or removal techniques? My paint was clayed, sealed, waxed, but my grill has countless bug etching spots that will not come off regardless of claying, bug and tar remover, etc.
Anyone...
Yup no dice even with claybar :( I commute for work so it isn't always practical to wash the front down each drive, and I am afraid the sun has baked a few of the bigger ones in there pretty good.
Anyone thought about doing additional side markers in conjunction with the factory ones? Used to have JDM side markers on my 95 EG and my FG2, but recently have been thinking about something different. Like little round LED amber clearance lights wired up as side markers. Thoughts, or anyone...
UPDATE: I haven't followed all of this thread, but had the same thing happening to my car since day one. It is a screen malfunction issue. I had multiple video's of mine doing various weird things and my tech at my dealership opened a trouble ticket and sent in the videos. According to him this...
Dude, think about this for a minute. The accident is totally not your fault, why do you want some half assed repair that's going to decrease your resale value and be an eyesore you have to live with for the life of the vehicle? I am assuming you work hard to pay for your vehicle so get it fixed...
Yup same concept. I had a similar one to yours on a previous car and over time the plastic fades. Will have to report how this rubberized grip tape material holds up over time.
