I ordered one in late May, deliveries have been delayed. They are releasing 2.0 due to problems getting the parts to manufacture them. I'm not sure when it'll show up.
I installed a Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 as shown here based on this thread along with an amp and LC2i. It was great for awhile but developed a horrible sound which turned out to be the sub hitting the factory grill.
Has anyone run into this and what did you do?
I installed an aftermarket Pioneer sub in the OE enclosure, amp etc. It's been great but recently I noticed an annoying rattle. I took it all apart and tightened the bolts and it seemed to help. It quickly came back.
What I didn't see is the tab with the welded and threaded mounting point...
That was my first thought, the windscreen was clean but we were headed into the sun. However, doesn't the ACC use the the RADAR sensor under the fog light? Both?
I've researched a bit but I'm not sure what caused this. Once I stopped the car and started it again, everything is fine. I checked and there are no stored codes. I have an appt with the dealer since I'm still under warranty.
The warning light disabled ACC, Collision mitigation and road...
I finally got around to attempting this again. I will say that the three screw method is 100% easier than trying to pry three plastic tabs (one of which is recessed and difficult to reach) without breaking the mirror cap.
I had the entire job done in about 45 minutes. I recommend taking the...
I understand what you're referencing, now since I found this this video and this thread. Instead of taking the cap off, with three screws the "guts" of the mirror will come out. I will try this since I can't confidently remove the cap without breaking it.
The bottom tab is reverse of the top two, the videos were helpful in that you could see the tab after it was off. I shined a light, positioned a flat head screwdriver and pushed down/off with no success.
The cap seemingly stuck to the black plastic hinge part is what's really confusing me...
Well, I thought that would be difficult part. I don't know what sorcery is required to remove the mirror caps but I intend to reuse the body-color caps and they will not come off. I spent well over an hour and finally gave up. The top two tabs are easy, the lower tab on the bottom I'm not...
I purchased the mirrors with turn signals and defrosters. I have the LED turn signals on the front of the mirrors, I assume I tap into those somehow. Have I missed it in this thread, where to tap into those?
I returned for the AC compressor to be replaced and they looked at the rattle again. This time, they discovered there were rocks or gravel in the "upper rocker panel" that was generating the noise.
I have yet to confirm this solved the issue as I've not driven fast enough to hear but...
Thanks for the feedback. The dealer was unable to duplicate, allegedly. I told them there was a rattle sound low on the pillar, as described above. I might just try your fix myself to see if that works in my case.
My 2018 ST Hatch has developed a rather annoying rattle originating in the B-Pillar, somewhere low near the floor. I've searched all over and there are plenty of "rattle" threads here and elsewhere but I haven't found one where the rattle is low in the pillar. It has gotten progressively worse...
Mine smells like a cat litter box on occasion. I leave it on all the time (at least currently) and it's random as to when it smells. There seems to be no correlation to the high-pitched whine it makes.
Some time ago I replaced the stock sub with a Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 8-inch Shallow-Mount Sub. I don't care what people say, it made zero difference without an amp, so...
I finally got around to installing a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime 1-Channel Class D Amplifier and LC2i (not shown). The...
