As I've said many times before it's not difficult to get the temperature gauge near the top on a fast circuit when driven by an average driver in twenty degree conditions - I did it yesterday at Bedford.
I own a Model 3 P. You can certainly notice the weight at 8/10 and beyond, and also under braking. Over the two I would take the Civic for an early morning drive, but 3 as a daily.
I've had a Renault R26.R and a 182 and neither had any issues with overheating. The CTR is ridiculously sensitive to ambient temperature - I've had the temperature gauge near the top halfway round a moderate lap round the ring - not really a good place to have 30 seconds of cool down time. I'm...
I'm approaching 30k miles in 18 months. Seat adjuster needed replacing (I think they replace the whole base of the seat), but apart from overheating on track its been fine.
Yep, same as me. We spent a bit of time on the autobahn prior to arriving at the ring and when traffic and conditions allowed frequently opened up the taps to remove the A3/3 series from my back bumper. :) No temperature movements.
However, the uphill stretch (3:30 on the record breaking...
After my observation at the Nürburgring earlier this week I'm not convinced a high speed track removes the issue - long periods of full throttle (the 'ring has a looong uphill section) causes the issue IMO.
I've been meaning to reply to this but had to wait until I'd visited the Nürburgring. My son was desperate to go so we visited earlier this week on the way back from European driving trip. It was a warm evening (28 degrees), we were 4 up with luggage and I had the air con up high, but I wasn't...
