Installed without a hitch. Well, almost. Couldn't find the #8 worm clamp, not sure whether I didn't get one or if the tiny thing rolled away somewhere. So I begrudgingly re-used the factory clamp with the stupid headless screw o_O
Edit: yep there it is on my doormat, idiot confirmed
My maintenance minder didn't come on until ~9300 miles. The engineer I spoke with assured me to follow it on my first oil change, so I committed to it early, but the wait was excruciating. I'm at 9600 now and it's definitely happier with fresh fluid.
I doubt the front grill is really split like that, it's probably just a vertical strip of camo covering the emblem. Sure helps the disguise to look more BMW-like at first glance.
Haha thanks, it worked out surprisingly well! Patched at a local shop while I waited, done by an adorable female tech who was star-struck by my car
This rockstar treatment only cost $19, so I'm chalking this one up as a net win.
I had a bad feeling when I first saw this thread, like a premonition or jinx.... and what do you know, my rear left picked up a nail this morning :rolleyes1:
I like to swing the hood upwards about an inch before pulling my hands away and letting it drop. Otherwise, I often let go too gently and it doesn't fall hard enough.
Yeahhhhh no. This is specifically for race teams competing in the TC category. You can't buy one unless you're a member of Honda Racing Line, which would automatically make you more than just an enthusiast.
Besides, wrong car. That's the price for the Type R TCR, which has been around for...
My 2019 made a similar sound when new, especially on cold days. It was so loud I thought about bringing it into the dealer, but NVH in general was still improving with break-in, so I just turned up the radio.
Not sure when I stopped hearing it but I'm at 4100 miles and everything has settled...
I guess that makes Aegean Blue the most exclusive color - only available on US models '17-19. Glad I got one when I did, not a fan of the lighter shades... I'd much rather be mistaken for an STI than a Focus RS.
Super fake. Article is dated Feb 19 and links to another article titled "2019 Accord Type R is happening".
Type R with AWD and 10 speed automatic?
We're all thirsty for info on 2020, but let's not abandon common sense.
I called ahead as soon as I knew I'd be in town. They said I could drop it off and pick it up next business day (Monday, after I left). After a little begging, they had it ready at the end of the day so it could fly home with me. It wasn't their usual protocol so hopefully I wasn't too...
Reinstalled my jailbroken ECU last night after returning from a weekend trip in LA. A couple days beforehand, I discovered my hotel was just a stone's throw from American Honda HQ... and a few blocks from Hondata! The CTR is my daily driver, so shipping time was the only thing holding me back...
