  1. Does my car have a factory amp ?

My Si has 8 speakers and an amp...
  2. Dash Trim Kits

Don't waste your money on stick-on fake wood or fake carbon. Do it right with real carbon replacement parts. Way nicer than stick on crap and won't peel up. I went with Peguas Carbon and love it.
  3. Anyone using this Metra 99-7821b?

This is false. The kit retains that ability.
  4. Factory subs 2017 civic lx sedan

Yeah, the epicenter is faking it by adding bass to recordings that don't have much bass (like classic rock) so it's trickery for sure, but the accubass is great for modern cars that have a dynamic EQ built in that attenuates the bass more as the volume goes up, the accubass is something that you...
  5. Factory subs 2017 civic lx sedan

A sub amp will have a low pass filter, not a high pass. A high pass filter would only allow high frequencies to pass. Some LOCs, like the Audiocontrol LC2i will take a full range that has bass roll off (where the OEM stereo tapers off the bass as you turn the volume up to prevent the OEM...
  6. Factory subs 2017 civic lx sedan

The LX doesn't have a subwoofer. The factory subwoofer is a single 8 inch sub in the middle of the rear deck if it was there. Those pics you posted are of the rear coaxial speakers. Maybe the colors are just faded or a little off from the flash, but the colors I find for rear speakers (in any...
  7. Installed Kicker sub in my Si, has less bass than stock sub

I agree, you should use the crossovers. It won't hurt anything, you'll just get a steeper slope on the audio. If you look at this pic (just a generic high pass filter pic, not exactly what your crossover will do, but similar) your crossover and honda's crossover might be the yellow 2 for...
  8. Installed Kicker sub in my Si, has less bass than stock sub

It will help with road noise for sure. You don't need to cover every square inch, but covering the majority of any panels that have large flat areas will help. Think rear quarter panels, spare tire well, underside of trunk lid. If you can cover like 70% of the large flat spots, and then add a...
  9. Installed Kicker sub in my Si, has less bass than stock sub

It's ok to not understand something. I have been in the industry for 22 years, which helps lol. Don't feel discouraged. If you wanna know more, or need an explanation, you can ask. The downside with asking on a forum is you'll get replies from a broad range of people. There are a ton of...
  10. Installed Kicker sub in my Si, has less bass than stock sub

All kicker subs will work free-air. You just want to make sure not to give them more than 50% of their power rating since you no longer have an enclosure to help lower overall compliance of the driver.
  11. Installed Kicker sub in my Si, has less bass than stock sub

You cannot run this sub at 2 ohms. With a dual 2 ohm sub your only options are 1 ohm (should not be done unless the amp used is 1 ohm stable, and even then, it degrades SQ a bit) and 4 ohm. Technically you could run one coil at 2 ohms, and it will play, but you're only using half the motor of...
  12. Installed Kicker sub in my Si, has less bass than stock sub

If that is a 48CWR82, and it looks like you wired it in parallel, you're running it at 1 ohm, which the OEM amp will not like. It could damage the amp, or the amp might even stop outputting if that is outside it's operating range. Try wiring it in series instead so that it's running at 4...
  13. Help How do I remove this pin from connector??

that black part doesn't slide out with a little prying up?

  15. Stoptech Rotors/Pads

Any update on these? My stock rotors are starting to warp a bit and I am exploring my options.
  16. Will Honda ever come out with wireless CarPlay for our cars?

I don't think honda ever went forward with it, they were testing the waters and a few people got it, but they were gonna charge for it and I don't remember it ever getting released to everyone. https://jalopnik.com/honda-may-let-you-update-your-car-to-add-wireless-carpl-1845782892 The civic...
  17. Will Honda ever come out with wireless CarPlay for our cars?

While this is mostly true, the accord had the hardware already so honda did release an update that gave wireless carplay to test the waters out. The civic doesn't have the proper hardware to do it via an update, so it will never happen for the civic. It would require aftermarket equipment.
  18. Anyone mount amp on custom shelf under rear package tray in sedan?

That looks good, clean wire management for sure. IF you wanna see how closely that trunk liner fabric matches the interior, take a look at the pic I posted with the amp under the rear deck. There are 2 false panels that are in place with magnets that hide the sub box ;)
  19. Anyone mount amp on custom shelf under rear package tray in sedan?

For the fabric, I use this stuff for amp racks or sub boxes. It matches the salt and pepper trunk color in 99% of cars. The glue I use is weldwood landau top adhesive, but that requires a spray gun. I have used the 3M stuff below with great results too. Another material you can consider is...
  20. Anyone mount amp on custom shelf under rear package tray in sedan?

Most modern amps will be fine mounted upside down. You'll be fine with that audiocontrol like that. Like others have said, you don't NEED the lc7i, but the ACM-4.300 doesn't have accubass built in, so the lc7i will give you better results. If you're going to mount it to a board and mount...
