I've looked all over the forum to see if someone has done this but is it possible to take the Civic Si headlights and convert them over to HID and then drop them onto the FK8?

My gf converted her Si to the sequential LED headlights and I was thinking about converting the stock Si headlights to HID and putting them on the Type R. Is that possible? Has anybody done this yet?
Is there any literature I can read on how the system gets signal to the ECU to make this switch? I don't imagine it's that difficult to program a raspberry pi with some solenoids to get it to do that, but I have nothing to work with. Anybody have any idea?
