Here is a list I can remember of issues with the 2016 Touring:
- 4 inches of water in the trunk. Rear spoiler replaced by dealer but trunk was all scratched after the fix
- Infotainement system replaced completely due to screen black out and sound failure
- Rear sub kept rattling after multiple...
I just got rid of my civic after owning a 2008 LX and 2016 Touring. The 2016 was so cheap and unreliable. Used to have Honda and Acura only in my driveway. I traded the civic for a 2019 Q5 and my 2012 MDX for a 2018 F150.. A lot less issues so far with both vehicles compared to my Hondas...
Please read my post above. I had originally received the car overfilled by the dealer and brought it back down to the max level on the dipstick. So I can confirm I at least gain 6-7 MM on the dipstick since the oil was changed. I noticed it go up a bit in the past between the oil changes but now...
I just checked my oil level again. Oil life at 90% and the oil is about 1-2mm above the orange bar. I never idle my car and temperature is above freezing since a few weeks. So if you ask me, this TSB is a big fail. I will check with my dealer if I can go back to previous version.
Got the TSB done over a month ago. Was not having any issues before and I do my oil change myself. After I got back from dealer, I noticed they overfilled the oil so I removed some using a pump and it was now on the top level line. Few weeks after, oil smell gas real bad and the oil is way over...
These HUSKY mats are garbage. The sides on both mats are all wrinkled and let all the water and slush go underneath. I called husky and placed a warranty claim. They will gladly send me new ones after I ship the old one back. The shipping is about 100$ from canada to USA and I have to pay for...
Ya, child lock is on since I got the car so it was that. Pressing the lock/unlock button have no effect on the rear doors. I sat inside and watched, not even a clicking noise. Tried to unplug the battery yesterday, same problem. Will call the dealer tomorrow and report back on the fix. TKX guys.
TKX for the reply. The funny thing is that the door only opens when set to locked, with the orange part showing up. If the door is set to unlocked, the is no way to open the door. Kind of unsafe.
Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you experienced this. My rear door lock on both side do not work anymore. I can only lock/unlock the doors manually. Door panel buttons and key buttons have no effect. Oddly, both front doors work fine. Im planning to unplug the battery today but was wondering...
Hi everyone, I have been having a weird issue with my civic since the beggining of Winter. Every time I push the auto button for the temperature knob, the climate settings goes to the foot setting only. Results, my feet are boiling and my windshield is always foggy. I did some testing today and...
I have a very annoying noise coming from the mirror/CMBS camera since the temperature went down. Anyone experiencing this? I really don't want my dealer to play with this but I guess I will have to bring it in.
-33 here in ottawa this morning. I started the car completely frozen this morning and got a message on the screen telling me that the Turbo may explode... I guess I got lucky this time.
I had the exact same issue with mine. Went to the dealer for the rattling and was told it would fix itself after the first oil change. Did the oil change one week ago with mobile1 0w20 and no rattling since then. The grinding is still there when starting the car hot. Dealer could not replicate...
I have seen many tire shops trying to sell me 195/65/15 tires which will fit without issues. However, the new civic has a low ground clearance. If you add smaller tires, the car will scrap the street even more and you might get stuck easily if you live in a region with a lot of snow. So if you...
Subwoofer rattle, head unit and amp replaced. So far so good. No mechanical issues so far (Some weird noises during a cold start but next oil change should fix that according to the dealer, will see). I had much more issues on my old 2008 civic (brake issues, dead horn, seat belt problems, dead...
BTW, according to tirerack, the best wheel option for winter is 15 inches with 215-60-15 if I'm not mistaken. I bought a set of 205-65-15 since I prefer small width size for winter.
You can get a nice set of wheels plus winter tires for about the same price. I paid mine 1100 with rtx wheels and bridgstone ws80 on a canadian website
