The GTI Sport is one cool customer. Built like a bank vault, drives and feels like it costs thousands more. It comes standard with Lighting Package, limited-slip diff, and the brakes from the Golf R. Triple-digit speeds on the interstate feel like you're doing 70. And yet....and yet, it...
I've had my Si coupe for four days, and I'm in love with it. Admittedly it's not going to be visiting a track anytime soon, but my work commute has been a hoot. The standard all-season tires are adequate, and hey, they do carry a "W" speed rating.
With all due respect, "Honda Pro", it's not 2003 anymore. It's 2017 and the GTI is widely regarded as the best all-around sport compact on the market. I actually broke down and bought one while waiting all these months for Honda to release the new Civic Si. Still no Si in sight, and I'm...
Congrats on your purchase! It's great that you found such a deal. I guess it's good to be an enthusiast who doesn't want a CUV. Sport compacts with manual transmissions? Who wants those *lol*?
I snagged a VW GTI Sport for about $24K over the holidays. This new-for-2017 trim comes standard with the Performance and Lighting packages. Just couldn't wait for the Si any longer. I may regret it in the future when it starts falling apart, but for now this little beast sure is fun to drive.
They're curiously absent, huh? Given Car&Driver'/
I would think magazines like C&D would be all over the Sport hatch, given their "Save the Manuals" mission. All things considered, I don't think the Civic Sport is short on amenities. Features like automatic climate control were once limited...
I'm greatly anticipating reading about driving impressions of the Sport hatch. While waiting impatiently for the Si coupe and initially finding the hatch grotesque, I've warmed up to the hunchback Civic. The Sport trim may very well hit a sweet spot for the enthusiast on a budget. Zesty turbo...
This car is a festival of tackiness, inside and out. I'm holding out hope for a more mature and tastefully executed Civic Si coupe or sedan. I'm growing impatient waiting for the Si. Maybe it'll be revealed at SEMA or the LA Auto Show?
The GTI Sport is a nice trim. Everything you need, nothing you don't. That said, I'm looking at dealer inventories, and it isn't exactly cheap. Why would you be cross-shopping this with a Civic Sport hatch? Maybe you can wait for the Civic Si? I mean, I wouldn't blame you for pulling the...
